Nate Schon,Parino Johnson, Gabe Greenlee, & Caleb Helgeson all Gray shirted. Only Johnson has wrestled. His results have us all excited. Does anyone know how the other 3 are doing health wise and wrestling development wise? Are they planning on redshirting any of them next year or will they all be ready to challenge for a spot. What weights do they project at? Does anyone know the plans for the incoming freshman? Thanks for any answers on these questions.

I would guess Schon or Greenlee have a strong chance of going next year at 285. Schuyler is a redshirt senior. Not sure if he has a Covid year or wants to use it.

What’s the reason Greenlee isn’t competing in opens this year? I know Helgesen and Schon were recovering from injuries, but was hoping to see Greenlee wrestle in some opens this year

Any chance Schon ends up at 197? You don’t see 2 guys in the same weight class gray shirt together often/ever. If the plan is for them both to go heavy weight you have to think one of them is transferring at some point.

Corey Clark and Thomas Gilman is a great example of 2 studs recruited at the same weight that didn't transfer. I wouldn't be surprised I guess if Schon goes 197 after Yonger. That would mean Greenly beat him out... I guess another scenario is Greenly could become the future " Degen"of 197.

I can’t imagine Greenly making that weight. At 6-6 it’s just way to much mass to shed. He’d look like Chet Holmgren

Schon was highly ranked. So more than OK is what we need. Also hoping for him to be 197? Also I am assuming Greenlee needs to fill out and could possible be 275 at some point. Hwt. will also clear out within the next couple of years.

Just idle chatter, but Schon might be more than ok.

Awesome to hear!
In the matches I've seen with him, he is super athletic and mobile, especially for a big boy.

Do you think we see him lean out to 197 once he's all recovered? I haven't seen him in person, but based on the film eye-test, he looks like a guy that could continue to build muscle but change his nutrition in a way that helps him get lean and mean.
