Where has Cameron Lee been?

He is an awesome defender and from watching some of our previous games we need defensive players for the Big 12 if we're going to stick with Mac D's strategy.

Not a threat to score and that's why he doesn't see minutes. Excellent defender however  We struggle to put points on the floor already so we kinda need another guard out there who can score.

What exactly has been wrong with the defense our team has been putting on the floor?

Only two teams have shot better than 40% against us (Iowa and SDSU) and we rank second in the Big XII in FG% defense behind only Texas

Our D is not our problem

the reason we have been holding them under 40% is because they are scrub teams. which is what our schedule has been filled with. the best team outside the Big 4 we faced was houston or hawaii and they are both terrible.

and the rest of the Big XII hasn't been playing scrubs? That renders your argument useless. 2nd to Texas, we're all playing scrubs...

As someone else said, Cameron doesn't bring much on the offensive end. It's the exact same situation with Thompson.

Having these guys in as defenders is a good idea at the right times, however you shouldn't see much of them because the other team's defense can just sag another guy in on Craig, or keep another shadow on Lucca/Petey

Cam can be an alright scorer when he wants to be....[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cIQ2znIuto]YouTube - Cameron Lee (Iowa State) throws down in practice[/ame]

Eh, I'm not sure you could say that Texas has been playing all scrubs. They've played No. 8 Notre Dame, No. 9 UCLA, No. 12 Villanova, and No. 22 Michigan State. They've also hosted Oregon and played at Wisconsin.

Cam, much like Rahshon, would thrive offensively in an up-tempo running offense. I don't know if you know this, but we don't run one anymore

I'm thrilled Cameron is still here, he definitely has the skill set to play ball with anyone. The guy is a huge energy boost when he comes in, especially in Hilton

i really like the up tempo offense when wayne morgan was running it because it was alot more fun to watch then what we do now

not saying what we do now is bad but i just like up tempo more

That was fun when we had blalock stinson and have them throw it down to taggert...who gets alot of playin time for memphis

Thompson is horrible. I wish he was not horrible but he is. He is a Senor and he is averaging 3 points and 3 rebounds and he is 6"10.

Cam Lee is at least a bundle of energy and comes in and plays great d-fense.

I wouldn't use defense to compare the two, because that is one place where Alex does quite well. He's a pretty good post defender at times.

alex thompson is in to play defense because as you noticed he isnt a very effective scorer and doesnt have the ups to rebound consistently

his defense in the post also matches up with brackins ability to score in the post which makes being a post player on an opposing team a living hell if there is someone who scores on you and one to keep you from scoring
