Marcus Fizer

Every time I think about him I'm sad he didn't stay...

I don't think he ever wishes he would have stayed his senior year. He collected a huge paycheck that year. He didn't get many in the NBA so that first year was probably pretty nice.

he actually wasnt that big of a bust.. i know i know.. im about to get jumped on for this.. but if some of u remember.. he struggled with a couple injuries and some law issues.. but then he started playing outstanding and was actually being talked up as a possible 6th man award until he reinjured his knee.. then got caught with a hand gun in his glove box that he either didnt have a licenst to or it was not in the correct case or somthing like that.. but anyway.. he was playing well wherever he was and im sure he will get picked up somwhere

It doesn't matter what circumstances surrounded the fact that he didn't produce. He didn't, and that makes him a bust. Mitigating circumstances don't give the Bulls any more value out of their investment in Fizer. Jay Williams got in a motorcycle accident, and because of that, he was a bust.

You are right. Fizer was on his way to a decent NBA career before he blew his knee out twice. Had a good chance to be 6th man of the year when he first injured it.

4th overall draft picks aren't supposed to be bench players. Then again, most of the guys drafted around Fizer was a bust, too.

Does the fact that others in the draft were lame really make his lameness any less lame?

Don't mean to be frank, but I've never understood that one.
