Isu will be texas techs first b12 game

Gotta have this game. Starting conference play 0-2 at home sets up brutal.

I'm still trying to keep expectations modest considering what was expected going in, but now that we've built a tournament resume, have to get games like this. You can live with a BU-type home loss, but have to make hay at home as much as possible (and can't just lose all the road games, either).

Holy smokes. This is a big deal as Shannon is their leading scorer. Sure hope our guys can stay healthy!

Wonder if they'll start testing their players like crazy hoping for a covid excuse out of the game.

Shannon led them in scoring in loss to Providence and their win against the Vols.
Kid was a high level recruit.

Also if people watch the Vol game Tech could not score at all when Shannon was there.

Stars are aligning for ISU on this one. Gotta pull out the win.

Shannon out due to back problems not Covid I believe.

I wasn't at the Baylor game, but from watching on TV, it feels like the crowd is still on edge, and ready to explode from a big cyclone run. Baylor seemed to have an answer for each mini Iowa St run.

It'd sure be nice to see like a 16-2 run for the crowd and for the team to pull away and hopefully hold a comfortable lead.

The crowd is, however, getting plenty to respond to on the defensive end and the crowd has been getting very loud for that.

I feel like often it's been harder for the crowd to get into things when even when our offense was rolling we would almost immediately give up a bucket anyway. When the defense is working, the volume just builds and builds and is much more consistently loud than just bursts after big shots

Curious about the line. I’d guess ISU -4.
I checked a few hours ago and couldn't find a line on this game yet. With all the COVID issues, it would make sense that they don't set the line until closer to game time.

Crowd, even without the student section, was ready to go. After the dunk to bring it to 8-8, Scott Drew was ready with a time-out every time ISU started to roll.

I think they don't typically release basketball lines until the day before.

Drew knows how to read hilton temp better than most. We didn't quite force his hand on having to use timeouts.

Early years in his career of Drew using/wasting all his time outs early has honed his timing the past years to be effective in limiting Hilton Magic.

We'll see if Adams has learned under Beard to do the same or if this being his first trip to Hilton as HC will cause TT some issues.

It is really disappointing that the Hilton crowd allows a coach's timeouts to take them out of the game. Shouldn't the fact that a coach had to burn a timeout be an incentive to the crowd to ramp the noise back up before they put the ball back into play?

Don't let the bastards win!

Texas Tech has been dominant in Hilton the last two years winning 87-57 and 91-64. Hopefully we are able to administer some payback tomorrow.
