NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Thread

Lol, Elliott isn't anywhere close to 30.
That is why I posted this in a reply.

"Looking at his contract, I am not sure that the Cowboys would be able to trade him until after the 2022 season because of the cap hit, and it runs through age 31. Zeke is not as old as I thought he was, only 26 this season, but a lot of wear and tear on his body."

He has had a lot of carries in the league, and that milage is not coming off his knees and back. A team would be foolish to take on his contract unless it guarantees a super bowl or two.

Original comment was comparing him as a big play threat that the Chiefs need in the backfield. He hasn't had a 100 yard game since Week 5 and is under 900 yards for the season. Last 10 games have been about 50 yards/gam.e. Seems he is almost just a bigger version of Clyde that has a much higher usage rate (ie Clyde cut put up similar numbers if healthy/utilized).

Seems pretty confident that Chiefs won't target a RB in the draft - however team doesn't have as many holes as they've seemed to in the past for the draft. Probably need some young DL or WR, however they've stayed away from early DB's (catching some gems late), OL seems to be young & set, LB are young & set. Could go DL/WR in 1/2, and then simply BPA which I don't think a big play RB would be all that bad of an investment. Highly doubt Breece lasts that long but damn would be pretty ideal... sit under Helaire for a year and take over when he eventually gets hurt again and never give the job back.

This is getting concerning. LT Brown out today and Niang just got carted off. Deja vu to last year. Can’t be entering the playoffs with OL injuries. Need to hang onto the bye and get healthy.

I mean, Dee Ford doesn't lineup offsides or the Chiefs win the coin toss they are possibly in the SB last year. I'm conditioned as a Cyclones and Chiefs fan to expect the worst, but the Cubs did show me it was possible to win the big thing :)
Penalties are so numerous.

Bad loss without a doubt, but it is a four-quarter game, and the Chiefs only played for two of the four. After saying that, we had our chances, just too many silly penalties, lack of tackling and poor coaching on the defensive side of the ball. No way you give up a 3rd and 27, but they did today.
Seemed like every time we got a stop, out came the penalty flag on the defense. How about we stop the drops and actually catch the ball?
