The Timeout

Cannot understand the decision not to use our last timeout after we stopped Clemson on the last third down. It cost us nearly 40 seconds.

We proceeded to use it before a 4th down at our own 35 yard line with 0:42 left, where we would've had 1:22 or so left had we used the timeout earlier and we'd be in control of the clock (with the ball).

Just seems like a not ready for prime time decision. Not the reason we lost but one of many reasons why we weren't the better team tonight.

Math must be hard for the coaches. You can never save more than the 35-40 seconds that Clemson ran down there. Always use it on defense!

Theres not an NFL coach or NCAA coach that doesn't use TO there.

Time management has to improve.. although we ran a ton of late comeback drives - the time management in all of them were brutal. Hell running punter out to punt with 4 minutes to go they ran an unnecessary 20 seconds off the clock

yeah our time Mgmt is really bad, has been for a long time, but it’s about number 25 of the little things in the margins that needs to be better

Overall it just never feels like there's a sense of urgency until the very last possible chance, at least on offense and making decisions on 4th down.

I don't recall what play it was, but early in that final drive deep in our own territory even the announcers took note of our lack of urgency in snapping the ball. Maddening.

We just witnessed what a team without Breece carrying it all on his back looks like…. not good. Easy for Manning and Purdy to look good when you have Breece. Or Montgomery.

That 3rd and 10 call was about as bad as I’ve seen. If that’s our idea of good football…. we’re in deep s**t folks.
