Really, how can one ref give a takedown, call it out, Reader gets up, and the other ref comes in and over rules. Then they start in the center in neutral?

What a croc. The sad thing is that they will get the same calls at nationals.

Reader deserved that match. Looked like he was given the takedown to win the match, then they took it away. How do the refs explain that? I'm so sick of matches being taken away by lousy refereeing.

I'm not even sure if the 2nd ref had very good position to call off the take down my Reader. How you waive off a takedown that was awarded my Ref. Allen (regarded as the best) is beyond me.

 Not happy!

If the ref wasn't absolutely sure of the takedown, he should have let it go--15 more seconds and Reader could have improved his position.

To all the dufuses that don't understand nationals--no **** Iowa is counting 10 wrestlers, two at one weight (twice) for Midlands--the point is it doesn't work that way in March.

Because the back-up ref had a better view. As much as I hate to admit it, Reader's TD there was a stretch.

I'm not going to disagree that it was a shaky 2 points. If that is the case, don't call the 2 and let Reader get better--don't blow the whistle allowing a stalemate situation.

He had a better view from across the mat while the first ref was right on top of it? It looked to me like he had a takedown earlier and definitely had it when they called it.

He never had control. His arm over his leg like it was was not controlling it. It was loose and on the edge of the mat.

Fine but let him get control. They were still on the mat and Reader very well could have finished with more control.
