All FB coaching rumors and speculation

Fingers crossed! The chances were low but 24 hours ago we all thought there was a decent chance he’d be at USC and that Riley was staying at Oklahoma.

“He will probably only leave for Notre Dame or Ohio State.”

where have I heard that before?

like I said. It’s not a guess.

edit: And Michigan was NEVER an option. And I believe Penn State is NEVER an option. (Although I only know of the Michigan hatred).

I think Fred just wanted to be able to go to the grocery store without having to sign stuff or have terrible small talk like he could as a middling NBA player who wasn't 7'2"

This is 100% true for the Hoiberg family. It was fun for them at first but got old in a hurry. It got to the point the only place they would eat out was Aunt Maude’s because they’d set up a place in the basement for them. Even going to church during basketball season was tough - people would stop him to ask about a game.
Tim Floyd was the same way here. Hated living under the microscope. Once things got rolling here and his visibility increased, he couldn’t wait to get out. I imagine it grates on you after a while.

I'm sure he was treated much better in Chicago as his teams **** the bed.

Chicago is known for being very forgiving to their ****** coaches. Just ask Nagy. Guy gets nothing but love. His son too!

No one cared about Fred hoiberg in Chicago they were pissed off at garpax, the fact that Fred was below average in the NBA didn't matter when the front office was incapable of putting a roster together. Nagy is legendary in his incompetence. In Chicago Fred was Vinny del negro.

People were yapping at him during the sermon or before and after church. If not during the service, he failed to understand that probably many of those people paid his salary or he could just tell them excuse me, I’m sorry but we have to keep moving.

LA, even the nice parts, just isn’t for everybody. After graduating from ISU I moved to LA and loved it. Spent a good deal of my free time in Westwood and it was glorious (when I was twenty something). I drug my wife to be out to join me a few years later and she didn’t share my enthusiasm. Which means we split the difference and moved to San Diego…..
I could never live in LA but if I were making $12 million a year I can see where it might be pretty enticing.

Phillips, McCaskey, and Pace aren't getting off easy either.

This reminds me that I really dislike the Chicago sports teams. But they really don't give fans too much to actually like either.

Like in a Cosby type way? Keep that username anonymous.

The Washington fans might be the most delusional Campbell-wanting fanbase we've come across yet. Maybe the most overrated program in the entire country besides our neighbors

Why do you think they are overrated? I am not picking a fight...just seems like a program that should be in the top 25 every year. I have never heard anyone saying they should always be a top 10 program...and they made the playoffs once didn't they? Of course, they seem to be most successful when they are feeding off of the LA area recruits when USC/UCLA are struggling.
