Rigged Officiating

All the people saying refs didn't cost us the game, I agree with you most of the time but not today. I'm not quite sure how someone getting paid to review plays did not see enough evidence to over turn that touchdown in the back of the endzone. If that wasn't enough to overturn the call then let's just do away with replay all together and stop wasting time.

Yes our defense was awful today but those 4 calls that all went against us in critical situations were beyond egregious. Purdy either had the 1st down or was a couple inches short with the clock stopped. How the ref ended up with 4th and 3 and a running clock I have no idea.

Had the replay official fallen asleep on Brock’s first down run to end the game?
The guy who spotted the ball was the Hind judge who could t see where the ball was since he was behind the play. If you looked two refs were on top of each other. The side judge fell asleep or something.

I don’t think the officiating was rigged, looked too incompetent. You would be more subtle about it if you were actually rigging the game.

Yeah, I agree, too bad there is not a remedy for such a situation with someone reviewing each play in real time and can then stop the game to possibly overturn the call.

So as long as we don’t play a perfect game we have no right to call out obviously horrible officiating that definitely impacted the outcome? Crazy.
They were terrible
Both can be true. The line was 7.5. The officiating was bad. Admit it.

I have admitted it in multiple threads. It deserves to be addressed. It was not “THE” reason we lost that game though. It certainly helped WVU, but a lot of people are acting like the refs were the sole reason.

Hell, even if Breece scores instead of the fumble call, who’s to say we stop them on their next possession? Our D was helped on the last stop by them playing conservative with the lead

I'm fine with it. There were consistent blatantly incorrect calls. You want to say there wasn't something funny go ahead but I will stand behind it 100%. Something funny happened with the officiating.
It’s not smart to react emotionally right after a loss. Rigged you say? In what way? So that WV won? If so, then these refs executed to perfection, and nearly jeopardized the rigging by calling a phantom PI call against WV on our last drive, I guess because they knew they could bank on the ball coming loose at the goal line? C mon. Saying something is rigged makes any fan base look petty and foolish.

We did stop them on the next possession, from the 20, basically a kickoff through the end zone. We would’ve been in a position to win at the end instead of tie.

Plenty of holes in personnel and execution today. Zebras cost us royally.

4 terrible calls, I wanna see stats on what refs were involved with each. Also what happened with the guy calling Halls TD first, he just backdown in the huddle with the others?

OK...while the refs were AWFUL, the only call I'm REALLY PO'd about is the WVU TD when the receiver was CLEARLY out without getting a foot down. I get from the side view it looks like he may have scraped a toe, but the into the endzone view showed 110% definitive, conclusive evidence that he foot was in the air and never came close to touching down. That was GOD awful.

The no flag on 4th down when it appeared the play clock ran out before the snap was close (although it was likely at 0). I can live with that even though it was likely wrong.

The Breece fumble was close enough that I can see why they ruled what they did even though it looked 99% he was either down or a TD.

The Purdy spot I actually think is correct after watching it again. His knee is down and he is in bounds so the clock should keep running and the ball was just short at that moment.

That said, the offensive PI call on WVU at the start of the 2nd half was terrible and we got a pick 6 the next play that probably should have never happened.

Refs were terrible. I can begrudgingly live with all the calls EXCEPT the WVU reviewed TD in the back of the end zone.

I really never saw a good angle of the Purdy run for the first down that was moved back, but the TD they gave WVU was horrible. That guys foot never got within 10 inches of the ground. The Hall fumble was really, really bad. His knee was down, his elbow was down and he fumbled when the football hit the ground. That one was the worst.

To top it, one ref signaled TD. You never signal TD because players will stop because that means dead ball.

If you think the big 12 is rigging games you’re ******* stupid.

If you think some rogue ref crew is fixing games you’re ******* stupid.

They’re just bad at their job, something our fans should be pretty familiar with.

There is no excuse for a review ref not to overturn horrible calls, and they where horrible calls. They didn't even review the Purdy spot with 40 seconds left in the game. I have no problem if it was short, but man, you have to review something like that. Just incompetence.

Except there was a pretty obvious jersey tug. You look ridiculous defending those calls.
