Even Packer fans would have to admit that was a great game last night. The weather was the icing on the cake. Name a better rivalry if you can.

That game was awesome. As a bears fan I was sure we were going to blow it. Just shows we needed the win and the Packers just wanted it.

It was a good game but best rivalry in sports? Really? What about...

Yankees/Mets
Cubs/Cards
UNC/Duke
Texas/Oklahoma
Iowa/Iowa State.......:jimlad:

Great Game? Or two ****** teams battling it out? I swear the only way the Packers lose that game last night was on purpose. And what was with the coin toss? Did it hit one of the bolts in Urlacher's neck?
OK, so I'm an upset Vikings fan, but still. Noone deserves to win this division.

Yankees and Mets? Are you serious? They very rarely ever played each other until interconference play started...the team you are looking for is the Boston Red Sox

I don't know if any of you have seen the special on HBO about the OSU v Michigan rivaly but wow they truly hate each other. I thought ISU v iowa was a rivaly. We have nothing on that one.

It is one of the best matchups, bar none. Only recently has the Red Sox/Yankees rivalry become relevant, since before 2004, it was all Yankees. 21 titles between the two, and you win the NFC, you win the Halas trophy, you win the Super Bowl, the Lombardi. That alone tells the importance these two franchises have in the NFL.

yeah, that special was classic. They had an 80 year old man go off on a rant about why he hates Michigan, he gets to the end, looks straight into the camera and says "**** Michigan"

No doubt it's Top 3 with OSU/Michigan and Yankees/Red Sox.

Although, unlike those, there's not as much hate involved in the rivalry. My family is split between the Packers and Bears, and we're pretty fine with it. I respect the Bears, just don't want to see the Packers lose to them. They're not like the Vikings, whom I wish every possibly bad thing that could ever happen to a football team on.

It's a healthy rivalry, which is rare in sports.

It's funny how Bears and Packer fans have a mutual, although strained at times, respect for each other, but we all hate the Vikings. The Lions? It's more of a pity party with them.

Well, if you're talking intense hatred on both sides, then you have to go with Alabama v. Auburn. Really not even much of a discussion IMO.

If you're talking about best rivalry based on high level of play on both sides, then I think you have to go with UNC v. Duke. One could probably make an argument for OSU v. Michigan.

I don't think any pro sports "rivalries" come close to their college counterparts. When you insult the Vikings, you're just insulting a team I happen to root for. When you insult ISU - hey man, that's my alma mater, too. Now you're treading on thin ice.

packers/bears has nothing on the Iron Bowl as far as hatred...in fact I would be willing to say any pro sport rivalry is muted compared to the top level NCAA rivals.

free agency apathy will do that.

Florida v. Georgia
Yankees v. BoSox
Cubs v. Cards
Duke v. UNC
Michigan v. Ohio State
Texas v. Oklahoma
Any of the big In State Rivalries
-Florida v. Florida State
-South Carolina v. Clemson
-Georgia v. Georgia Tech
-Auburn v. Alabama
-Texas v. Texas A&M
-Iowa v. Iowa State
-USC v. UCLA
-Stanford v. Cal
-Oregon v. Oregon State
-Oklahoma v. Oklahoma State

The NFL is too corporate to have any of the big rivalries IMO...
