2 hours post game and there are people coming north on Dayton. Why would you be going north on Dayton towards 13th Street after a game?

Did they close 30 as well?
I once tried to cut over to Dayton to bypass traffic and the eastbound on ramp was blocked by APD and had to go north to 13th.

I live an hour 15 mins away and have been home for half hour. Got lucky I guess

Definitely took longer to get out than any game this year.

The way they manage exiting the S-lots got horrible with the new security.

Took me way longer to get out today. Less help directing traffic out of the grass lots. Was amazed at how much traffic was still backed up in Ames at 7:30 - that’s when I finally got out of town. Felt like the game just got over.

To go northbound on 35 or they thot they could get on 30 at Dayton and were denied.

I35 north before the game was a mess. idk if some new people didn’t know how the flyover worked or what. A lot of near accidents

I think it also was more jammed up than usual because everyone stayed until the very end of the game and then left all at once. Other games the fans leaving early probably helps traffic.

There was an accident on 30 eastbound that had it shut down at Dayton. People were getting off on Dayton and going back up 16th as well as going up to Lincoln Way.

It must be the accident on 30 that people are mentioning. I hung around the tailgate lot for about 30 minutes before walking back to my car on campus, then took the back way to Des Moines (South Dakota Ave then through Slater). Really no problems getting out at all.

It's always been horrible, was it worse today? I think the walking bridge should really help getting cars moving. for now, Ames and Iowa State need to figure something out, if it stays bad fans may be deterred from coming to the games. Waiting two hours in a traffic jam just might inspire people to watch in the convince of their home
