Rhoads on Sound off now

AA also said that if he ever meet chizik he would have some "choice words" for him. He wanted to say he would "punch Chizik in the face" but took the PR rout.

I'm sure there are a lot of players from the team would feel the same way not just AA.

I know it's not the same thing.

Where can I find the official "Best video guy" rankings?

33 will probably vouch for me in saying that Motl is one of the very best out there. He'll definitely stick on staff, and he's been recognized multiple times as tops in the Big 12.

I used to work for Mike Motl as "Assistant Video Tech Guy" back when Woodley and Rhoads were assistants under Mac. I was there when we moved from State Gym/analog tape to Jacobsen Building/digital video. Motl is an absolute stud.

Woodley was also my HS coach at Valley - great guy, great family. I think his son Matt, who I graduated with, is an assistant BB coach at Washington State now. Mike left Valley after my Senior season to take a job on Mac's staff (that's when Swenson took over). After a few years at ISU, Woodley took a HC (and possibly Athletic Director?) job at a HS in Texas.

Woodley would be a great recruiting resource for Eastern Iowa (from Quad Cities) and Texas, I assume.

. . . Woodley would be a great recruiting resource for Eastern Iowa (from Quad Cities) and Texas, I assume.

Mike Woodley was a stud high school football player at East Waterloo during East's 56-game winning streak (1966-1971). Same class as Jerry Moses. East ran the Slot-T (Wing-T essentially) offense, Moses was the TB, Woodley the WB.

As juniors, Moses and Woodley were the starting guards on the basketball team ranked No. 1 (IIRC) most of the season.

Sounds like Grandview coach might be fo recruiting in state.

He was also a coach in Texas for quite a few years, so he might be able to help recruiting in Texas.

Sorry, I had not read thru all of the comments to see that this has already been mentioned.

AA while young and a good athlete should think twice about "Punching" former coach Chizik in the face. Point is, These "KIDS" of today are not as mean as the 60's and 70's generations. If you ask many Coaches in the profession they will tell you that while "KIDS" today are in alot of cases bigger and more athletic in nature, their motivation and killer instinct isn't anywhere near what it was back then. People back then would fight till the other guy said "Uncle" or until someone broke it up. PLUS, todays society doesn't allow these Students to "Touch" eachother whereas in the 60's and 70's you fought your way to school and fought your way home! Teachers would turn their backs if someone decided to pound on a "Bully" if he had enough of his crap. They just again are not as mean or passionate.

AA, In a fight with Chizik, you would get pounded on like a rented mule. I would submit to you that if you did say that you'd like to punch him in the face perhaps you should think about your career as broken bones wouldn't help your cause any.

Considering Jean (intentional) Chizik is a midget, I doubt that.

Well AA could hit him with his left hand and he is a big boy. ?tougher in the 60's and 70's. LOL. I am sure there are no tough guys out there anymore

I know, I said he wanted to say he would punch Chizik in the face but took the PR rout.
In other words, you think he wanted to punch Chizik in the face.

Sometimes a kid's figure of speech is just that, a figure of speech. I try not to put words in other people's mouths, tends to start rumors that go a long way.
