That's an interesting take. Did you go to any of the games? Went to KU/ISU last year in Lawrence where there were about 8k max. Pretty surreal atmosphere to put it mildly. Half hour before game the area outside of the stadium was like a ghost town. It was a warm sunny afternoon but it just wasn't that much fun sitting in an empty stadium with dozens of security personel making sure everyone kept their masks pulled up over their noses. So yeah last season pretty much blew.

Yes. I went to every home game, B12 CCG, and Bowl Game…. But that’s not what was said… You could go to games if you had a ticket.

Every team has break, but to say we have had the ones that EIU has this season is completely off the wall. They are playing well, but has anyone ever seen a team living off defense, punting and turnovers?

Today they made Penn. State run a play again after stopping them on 3rd down and getting a chop block penalty on Penn. St.? 99% of college football coaches would have been happy to force a punt, but EIU, actually backed them up 15 yards and replayed the 3rd down again, solely to gain better field position for their offense.

Their punter drops 4/5 within the 10 yard line over and over.

Its living on the edge, and in the pillow soft Big Ten West, it will get them to the Championship game.

This is the take. Iowa took advantage of some huge breaks that went their way. They don’t need to apologize for it and the rest of the world doesn’t need to pretend those breaks didn’t happen.

Is it really exposing iowa when literally everyone knows they rely solely on defense and special teams? They’re exposed and keep winning.

Penn State's D indeed did expose their crappy offense in the first half. Like I said, when you take away the turnovers and make Petras beat you it's a different animal. Iowa takes advantage of pretty much every opportunity they are given and excel at winning the field position battle with the punter they have.

Really who in the West is going to beat them? I hate it, but they are going undefeated until the championship game. They are having the season we all thought ISU was going to have.

The West is a joke, and EIU is in the drivers seat.

I don’t really care how good or bad they are this year or how they win. But this is the part that sucks the most. And it’s absolutely true.

I actually think it could work against them suddenly going back against big ten east better competition in title game.

they won’t get in playoff without winning that, the first conference title game loser to get in playoff is going to be a situation where both teams get in and it’ll be a program like bama losing the ccg

I see them as 12-1 and getting squeezed out at 5/6.

if they were 12-1but the 1 isnt The title game they are a lock.

funny because you don’t think they can get to 12-1? 12-1 is probably most statistically likely record

12-1 big ten champ is nearly a lock

12-1 losing the ccg is a long shot unless you’re Ohio State and get to make up the rules, the other big ten

with ACC looking terrible and big 12 pac 12 looking meh…there will be two SEC teams likely but I’m not sure a big ten cg loser is in unless that team is Ohio state
