Ok this is trivial but it bugs me to no end. When we get to third down on D at JTS the speakers start blaring the music and everyone does the big clap thing. The problem is when they cut the music just before the snap there is next to no crowd noise because everyone was all into the dumb clap thing. It just kills the most important part of a home field advantage where the crowd can help out. It's almost dead quiet for the opposing offense. Maybe just do the "it's third down, make it loud" thing and no music over it? Yeah I'm digging deep, sorry.

It needs to be loud for Spencer and his mustache.
The crowd should be screaming OVER the loudspeakers and continue when they cut the music. Your gripe should be with the videoboard operators, but rather all of the weak ass pansies who just sit on their hands. and don't make any noise.
I feel like its pretty loud on 3rd and 4th downs, clapping or no, at least where we are. 1st and 2nd down are another story...

They should play the weather alert sound instead, that seems to generate some cheering and excitement. On top of that, it’s unique to ISU.

I heard Mark Farley on the radio this morning comment on how loud the crowd was and how it caused problems.
Last time I was at Jack Trice the sound was really bad.
Like so in your face loud that it was hard for the crowd to catch on to sustain their own noise as it was just drowned out anyway.
