Big XII to add schools within days?

SC Oregon Washington always get respect. They also get the benefit of the doubt every pre season

There are no teams in the remaining big aac that will get that.
Iowa St and Cincy just did. Iowa st lost to UL and still finished top-10.
UCF has gotten NY6 from the AAC, if they run the table like OU, they will. UT hasn’t been a factor

Big 12 is a P5 Conference. AAC is not. Big 12 has automatic qualifier as a P5 Conference. We leave the junk teams of the AAC and only take their best 3 teams. That leaves the AAC with the worthless teams. AAC has nothing much worth robbing and the better teams are gone. Mortally wounded. Who do they poach now? And what is their Revenue going forward?
I don't agree with calling any program in any conference worthless or junk. I believe the AAC has decent depth and can add teams from the Sunbelt or other conferences and not be significantly weaker than they are right now. A lot depends on ongoing revenue for college sports in general and the commitment of those schools to strong athletic programs.

Can you list all the preseason top 10 rankings for ucf and Cincinnati? Thanks

This. USC, Oregon, and even a revitalized UCLA are national brands. With OuT leaving, the Big 12 has zero national brands. Just the truth.

Yeah it’s a really stupid argument that they’ve tried to make with this.

At least you’re consistent

Iowa State and Cincinnati got that this year. You think next year when all the senior’s and breece is gone Iowa state will be ranked 7th preseason?
So you’re worried that if we’re not as good, we won’t have as good of preseason ranking? Not even that, you’re worried that we’ll be ranked based in part in what we return?

lmao, if this is what you’re latching on to, we’re definitely fine.

Plenty of big brand programs didn’t get the benefit of the doubt. Is Michigan still not ranked? Programs, big or small, regardless of conference, earn those rankings.

Personally I don’t think this is necessary for a league to be considered a power conference. I know a lot of media bozos who want the big brands to do well will disagree with me. I think on the field performance should matter and we have seen advanced metrics show the new Big 12 is right there with the Pac-12 and the ACC on that front.

That's what we're going to find out.

No advanced metrics have shown how BYU, Cincy, UCF, Houston would have fared playing in the Big 12.

Are we talking about budgets or football?

That impacts budgets and preseason **** measuring. It won’t impact the SOS much or the chance of the expanded playoffs. Iowa St would have had a chance despite losing to UL. OU won’t be replaced, but with them gone ISU has the auto last year. Ut is completely replaceable outside their contribution to the budget

If your goal is to be a glorified aac, then that exciting football will be great for you.

If you want to be a power bcs league, then you’re making **** up here, as usual

Link to that mattering past d*** measuring?
What next, recruiting banners?

The Big 12 will be just as strong as the Pac12 and ACC, and will have playoff access. The Pac12 likely won’t be equal once USC gets unhappy making $40 million less than the P2 anyways

We're talking about national perception, which matters.

And what "auto" are you talking about last year?

is ISU going to be pulling any new/better recruits with these additions? any pacific islander mormons with the hopes of people against byu? highly doubtful. but maybe an o-lineman would be awesome

texas? nope. already there
florida? very doubtful. grabbing florida recruits is what cost CPR his job. no kid cares about playing at UCF

Ohio? prob will be less successful here and western pa with the addition of chilitown
