Not a typical poster here, but I felt that I needed to add a different perspective to all the ESPN hate. I totally get why everyone is mad and don’t argue that at all. That said, I really believe that Iowa State fans need to absolutely PACK the set and show a national audience why colleges like Iowa State are valuable. Because we show up; we pack the stadium; we travel well; we don’t have to be a “brand” to be awesome.

If we show up butt hurt, the other conferences will just laugh. If we cancel ESPN then we just prove to them that ISU can’t pull in the ratings to be a valuable addition to any conference. Jamie Pollard may not come out and say it, but the absolute BEST things that we can do as fans are:
1) Pack the stadium
2) Increase the TV ratings of ANY ISU event
3)Break attendance numbers at Gameday on Saturday and show the college football nation how awesome our fan base is.
4) Donate if you can.

Maybe instead of boycotting Gameday or booing every chance you get; show up, cheer, and show ESPN why they made a mistake leaving us and the other teams on the side of the road. Just a thought. Go Cyclones!!

Show up and boo ESPN. Not sure why people think booing will look negative. Show that we have the support and are not happy with ESPN. Unless they are morons they expect a rough welcome. Give them a tough time but be respectful about it.

Yep, showing up, subscriptions, and ratings are what matters. It would look great for 20k to show up to boo, particularly anytime they talk about OuT.

ESPN hasn't gotten a nickel out of me in like 15 years. I like it that way.

I just hope we can get a local celebrity to Ames like Ashton Kutcher to guest pick.
I want co-pickers. I wants Georges and Jorbo. I think that would be good tv.

I think the majority of people are fine with Gameday in Ames. We are not all a bunch of whackos. Just the < 1%. Just another day.
