IOWA STATE TO BIG TEN?!? Dave Wannstedt thinks so.

Sadly, I doubt Wannstedt knows what he is talking about unfortunately. Look at what he said the PAC would take OSU & KSU? Why wouldn't the PAC take TT before anything to try and get their network in Texas especially when FOX has no Texas product? I would be happy to be wrong but I don't see it, with Iowa already in the B1G.

I still think its most likely the remaining 8 need to add 4 schools but if ESPN wants to place everyone so UT & OU can move next year and avoid exit fees and lawsuits its possible everyone gets placed and it really would be better for CFB.

But I think the B1G has the least incentive to add teams. IF USC and some PAC friends doesn't make sense financially I highly doubt they add KU & ISU.

If ESPN is trying to place everyone, I could see where ESPN sends TCU & Baylor to the ACC and TT & OSU to the PAC(maybe even Houston gets added). Then if the PAC turned their network over to ESPN or FOX each league gets carriage for their network in Texas to pay for part of the move. IF KU & ISU are going to another league add KSU & Houston to the PAC schools.

If ESPN needed to place two more teams say KU & ISU, I could see where it could be more likely in the SEC than the B1G. For the SEC its two academic adds, two new states, it ties in Missouri and OU and SEC got the kings ransom in content with OU & UT already and could stand to add two more teams to get this all done.
Could this be part of the schedule alliance - KSU and KU a rivalry game that is a non conference game. ISU could be a rival with one of the other PAC schools from the leftover BIG 12. WV could also be a rival with one of the former BIG 12 teams like ISU that would fill a ACC alliance game.

Hahahaha come on people, Dave freaking Wannstedt is not sitting in high end meetings between fox and conference leaders. He is the “my pillow” guy of college football.
So hes a millionaire with connections to some of the most powerful people in the world? Whether or not he knows what hes talking about or its just rumors from he and his buddies talking, your analogy doesn't fit.

The three Texas schools are trying to stick together as a block. The Pac-12 likely wants nothing to do with TCU and especially Baylor.

I wouldn't put it past the SEC to do something crazy like absorb 4 more teams to become 20. Even if that happens, I doubt ISU and Kansas would be in the mix. Although it would let them put a flag in Big 10 country.

Guessing NU would want CU.

Did the Buffs beat them the last time they played? I thought I remembered watching that a few years ago. Game was in Boulder and Nebby screwed the pooch really bad, disappointing a mostly Red crowd.

Take ESPN out of the equation, they aren't involved with the angry 8. I would wager that Tech is part of the conversation the Pac 12 along with TCU.

If the 3 other conferences are concerned about the SEC grabbing their top teams. Basically locking down the remaining 8 big XII teams would put a partial fireline up against them. Make three conferences large enough (throw in the MWC as a little brother conference) and be able to have a large enough inventory that ESPN would be limited with their content. I know they have the ACC but this helps the ACC also. If basically the PAC, BIG and remaining B12 teams are not an option to ESPN then, they need to push the connection to the ACC more to avoid being a one conference player.

This news is the equivalent of “locker room talk” in my opinion. KSU over Tech for the PAC12? Just not buying it. The bigger story of the day is the Iowa vs ISU also going away with time due to alliance scheduling. ISU and the Big 12 just keeps taking punch after punch. Hiring of Oliver Luck reiterates the remaining option for the remaining 8 schools: expansion.

It would suck for Iowa to lose their one sellout every other year.

None of us know if this is true or not, but I think we should wait for some of our connected big 10 posters to weigh in
I haven't heard anything about this but if its true you would easily keep CMC and be a top 25 team for the foreseeable future. Probably win the west (without division changes) or be second behind Wisconsin most years.

He did mention KSU to the PAC which is lunacy though
