I could understand the times K-State played ISU in Kansas City but I don't get what these two teams get out of this.

There seems to be a little more proximity in those examples. Arlington isn't anywhere near close to Manhattan or Palo Alto nor is it between them.

Fair point in proximity but Allstate probably foots the bill for their teams travel. Stanford has 12 players on their roster from Texas and KSU 18 so I’m sure both used this game to some degree as a recruiting tool. Plus both get national exposure game (11am FS1)

Wow, 11am FS1 doesn’t seem worth it at all. Poor Stanford. 11am FS1 is where we play Kansas regularly.

Im sure it helps recruiting though

I didn't realize those two were playing. Interesting matchup.

That first week as long as all goes well will be fun.

Pretty much covered it hereabove. $2 million guarantee, home to large K-State alumni base, recruiting Texas, national TV exposure. A bunch of recruits will be attending the game. K-State has 7 additional home dates. The 11 AM start would have been the same if played in Manhattan most likely as would have been FS1. Cats are a 2-point favorite.

Snyder has a daughter and grandchildren in the Dallas area. His son-in-law is also a high school coach in Dallas. This game was scheduled there before he retired as a return game for the trip to Palo Alto in 2016.
KState played @Stanford in 16 but the return game is neutral?

And there will likely be no more than 30K live bodies there in a cavernous 90K stadium.

I think regular neutral site games like this suck for both FB and MBB.
