It will be fun to see how they put the finishing touches on the plaza. They will have to happen soon. It is almost game day. I would think they would want to have everything done before UNI.

Probably in the middle of the night before the UNI game the Trice Stripes statue will appear.

Totally agree.

But if I had a billion dollars, and donated millions to make that plaza happen, I'd want the Jack Trice stripes prominently displayed there instead of my stupid a** ugly name. But to each their own.

I realize we wouldn't have any of the nice stadium amenities that we do without these donors. So a big thanks to them!

I admit the rendering with them did look sweet as hell, but I’m guessing they cut it out and put it on the facility instead, where it’s visible from inside the stadium.

What material is that black border? Looks somewhat like asphalt, however I'm certain it isn't.

I’ve been curious about the location of the new bridge and the future RV lot.

Here are two pics. I’m standing where the bridge will be built on University. One pic looks toward the stadium where the bridge will connect. The other pic looks toward where the RV lot will be.

The pics are just okay. (Sorry so distant)

Edit - theshadow confirmed the RV lot location is G7, which is behind what I was looking at, which was G10. Thanks for the clarification shadow!

One thing of note is the parking lot where it appears the RVs will go is currently gravel. That may change, but I thought I would mention it.

You're looking at G10. G7 will become the RV lot.

These photos are taken from the "mid-point" of the bridge, about where the east support structure will be. The bridge will extend just about as far into the grass from this spot as to the stadium itself. Most people I talk to think about it as a "bridge over University Blvd," but it is much, much longer (as shown in the official drawings).

I can't imagine the ego it would take to need to have your name displayed prominently in front of that plaza instead of just having the Jack Trice stripes instead, like it should be.

Practice fields next to Coldwater are going away with the new RV area. Anyone heard more on the Jonny Majors Practice Area renovation?
