I realize this question is completely and overly optimistic, but let’s just say that everything goes perfect this year and ISU makes the CFP. What teams would you want to be matched up with? I would like to beat OU, as a final “screw you” to them as they leave the conference. Then of course I would like a match up vs Bama in the championship.

I wonder what the betting line would be
Iowa St vs each top 10 team
Neutral field

For my part, I want OU and TX to have miserable seasons. I'd rather match up with Notre Dame again to see if our strength coach has leveled the playing field. ;)

This is not the AP poll but its basically the same schools, so which 5 schools on the list will not be in the top 25 by seasons end.

My guesses are Iowa, Mississippi, Coastal Carolina, Texas, Ok. State.

I would not want to face OU for a third time that's for sure.

In a perfect world where we win no matter what I would want to face Ohio State and Bama just for personal reasons because I have a significant amount of friends that are fans of both those teams.

In reality I want the easiest path so give me Notre Dame and North Carolina or Cincy. Or some random school like Oregon/USC or Indiana.

Good point. The size and strength mismatch CMC saw in the ND bowl game was why he made the S&C coaching move. Would be interesting to see how we match up now.

We got smoked by the #23 team in the first game. But we're still good.
