You know this could be a Texas/OU ploy negotiating with Fox over TV money?
Go away. We’re dealing with our own problems and don’t need your help.
They are definitely below Bama, OU, LSU, and Georgia. Not even close to a playoff team yet. I would put them a tier below Florida and A&M right now. Maybe even Auburn. They're definitely better than the bottom teams but nowhere close to the peak at this pointDo I think Texas will be a middle of the pack SEC team? Absolutely not. Some of these people saying this I wonder if they will be the same ones saying the SEC is overrated when those playoff rankings come out.
So what are the odds Texas and OK actually go to the SEC? I'm still thinking it is at 25% it actually happens.
But what if the Big 12 completely implodes, which could be their end goal. If the Big 12 completely dissolves dont all those contracts and rules become void.Tx and OU arent moving to any conference before 2024...Not unless they want to surrender their media rights for 4 years and.....and...not even be on TV. The big 12 owns the right to keep any team from being televised under conference by laws if they leave the conference prematurely.

What is "Texas again"? They have never really on the level of OU, OSU, Alabama, Florida, Notre Dame....You know how it goes here. Texas is struggling now so they have no chance to ever be good in the future. They're a good hire away from being Texas again. Even in the SEC.
Gee, idk, maybe from watching them 2000-2009? Too young for before that time. It’s so funny that some of you think this past decade means Texas is a average program now. What has Texas done to make you think they could compete for the top 4 spots in that conference?

Alabama was broken before 2008 as well.Texas is broken similar to Nebraska. They just have the natural recruiting still.
And that can’t change after a few years down the road? They are definitely below Bama, OU, LSU, and Georgia. Not even close to a playoff team yet. Right, but I think we do stand a pretty fair chance. Better of one than people think IF expansion happens.I believe the main fear is that we don’t necessarily know if the other conferences were to expand and who’d they’d grab. If they don’t expand, then the fear is ISU is left in a Big 12 + AAC type of conference with far less money and exposure.
If the other conferences do expand, ISU isn’t necessarily guaranteed a seat at the table.
They have the infrastructure. They made a bad coaching hire after Brown left. Doesn't mean they'll suck forever. What is "Texas again"? They have never really on the level of OU, OSU, Alabama, Florida, Notre Dame....
It's been 12 years since they were a contender.

Exactly, I just don’t understand how others don’t get this. You know how it goes here. Texas is struggling now so they have no chance to ever be good in the future. They're a good hire away from being Texas again. Even in the SEC.
I really think it’s 60/40 right now they leave. So what are the odds Texas and OK actually go to the SEC? I'm still thinking it is at 25% it actually happens.
