Report: OU & Texas reach out to join SEC

Nebraska was an AAU outlier when they joined, I believe, FWIW.

There is 0.0 chance the Big Ten adds ISU. None. There’s not another dollar of revenue by making the move. It would be better off standing pat than adding ISU, unfortunately.

And you are basing this on?

Lets see where ISU games sit from 2020.

How many times in 2020 season did ISU fball game rank in the Top 10 most watched college football game for that week? According to Sports media watch:

(9)....(9)weeks of the (17) weeks...Week 17 includes all bowl games.

Heck ISU Fiesta bowl had more viewers than OU/FL bowl.

How many did Kstate have ? (5). Just for comparison.

Having a winning fball program and a Top 10 fball team heading into 2021 you better believe makes a difference when looking at teams that drive $$$.

I can assure you that if ISU were added to the big ten with Matt Campbell leading the program, that there would be 5 or 6 big ten programs that would fall below ISU in TV viewership.

Other than the 8-10 elite programs that get attention nationwide, most other schools thrive mostly on local support and viewership. Gives ISU an advantage if success maintains.

That’s awesome, but I was asking how many games they go to a year.
Probably none. Who the hell is going back to watch a horrible football team? Once they get their upgrades done they'll have a chance to be competitive. They've had success in the past there. They are kind of in the same position ISU was in the early 90's when the facilities were awful and maybe 20k went to games.

So they are going to get there sometime in the 2050’s? Sorry but KU fan does not give a **** about football. There are probably as many “Nebby FB - KU basketball” fans as there are “KU football - KU basketball” fans.

Just because they are a basketball school doesn't mean they don't care about football. I know some KU grads and they hate being so bad at football. They have nothing to look forward to in the fall. Like most places they get pretty good attendance when they are winning. They were still kicking ISU's ass in football as recent as 5-6 years ago.

The NCAA started to lose it’s grip when realignment talk and SuperConferences were floated 11 years ago. When they threw their cards in and allowed the NIL, I smelled something rotten as it was just an admission that they had given up trying to control the donor money conduit to players. In the same timeframe adding more teams to the CFP is discussed and out of nowhere (supposedly) two of the very top athletic revenue schools of a P5 conference drop a bomb. I think it is all connected. Be interesting to know what: Bob Bowlsby knew, what Ohio State knew and how Notre Dame reacts. Iowa State and Iowa are not major players but we are fortunate to have Pollard/Campbell instead of Barta/Ferentz and all the negativity hanging over IC right now.

The list, in case anyone was wondering:

Buffalo
Colorado
Iowa State
Kansas
Mizzou
Pitt
Virginia
And from this list only Buffalo, CU, ISU, and KU aren’t part of a long-term grant of rights agreement. I wouldn’t see Colorado jumping from the PAC 12 and don’t think Buffalo is a serious contender. The biggest question would be does the B1G decide to expand or stay at 14
