Agreed. I talked to a KU fan at the gym a few months ago and they are anxious for their stadium renovation to get going. They should have cared more with their check books.

Nebraska was an AAU outlier when they joined, I believe, FWIW.
There is 0.0 chance the Big Ten adds ISU. None. There’s not another dollar of revenue by making the move. It would be better off standing pat than adding ISU, unfortunately.
They live in Scottsdale. How many games do they go to a year?
They live in Scottsdale.
Other than the 8-10 elite programs that get attention nationwide, most other schools thrive mostly on local support and viewership. Gives ISU an advantage if success maintains. And you are basing this on?
Lets see where ISU games sit from 2020.
How many times in 2020 season did ISU fball game rank in the Top 10 most watched college football game for that week? According to Sports media watch:
(9)....(9)weeks of the (17) weeks...Week 17 includes all bowl games.
Heck ISU Fiesta bowl had more viewers than OU/FL bowl.
How many did Kstate have ? (5). Just for comparison.
Having a winning fball program and a Top 10 fball team heading into 2021 you better believe makes a difference when looking at teams that drive $$$.
I can assure you that if ISU were added to the big ten with Matt Campbell leading the program, that there would be 5 or 6 big ten programs that would fall below ISU in TV viewership.
Probably none. Who the hell is going back to watch a horrible football team? Once they get their upgrades done they'll have a chance to be competitive. They've had success in the past there. They are kind of in the same position ISU was in the early 90's when the facilities were awful and maybe 20k went to games. That’s awesome, but I was asking how many games they go to a year.

Just because they are a basketball school doesn't mean they don't care about football. I know some KU grads and they hate being so bad at football. They have nothing to look forward to in the fall. Like most places they get pretty good attendance when they are winning. They were still kicking ISU's ass in football as recent as 5-6 years ago.So they are going to get there sometime in the 2050’s? Sorry but KU fan does not give a **** about football. There are probably as many “Nebby FB - KU basketball” fans as there are “KU football - KU basketball” fans.
Just realized there’s an easy solution to our worries about our standing.
Go win a national title. They can’t demote a team who wins the whole damn thing.![]()
Football is a different animal and what drives this whole thing.Baylor just won the men’s basketball tournament and their best hope for a new conference is the WAC or AAC….
In a word no! In the upcoming realignment it's all about 'Location Location Location' and middle of the country, middle of a low population state isn't going to cut it.To go a bit further, win the CFP and we would be a LOT more attractive to the conferences.
This may have come earlier than planned but I don't think this would have got this far if they didn't have the votesA&M and Mizzou will vote no so only need 2 more votes. I could see LSU and Razorbacks vote no as they dont want to compete even more with TX for recruits.
Maybe, but I can't see the Mississippi's schools voting yes, or vandy, of Kentucky, or South Carolina. This may have come earlier than planned but I don't think this would have got this far if they didn't have the votes
And from this list only Buffalo, CU, ISU, and KU aren’t part of a long-term grant of rights agreement. I wouldn’t see Colorado jumping from the PAC 12 and don’t think Buffalo is a serious contender. The biggest question would be does the B1G decide to expand or stay at 14The list, in case anyone was wondering:
Buffalo
Colorado
Iowa State
Kansas
Mizzou
Pitt
Virginia
