So yeah, being an ISU fan is all Ive ever known, a fanatic… if ISU is no longer in a dubbed “power” conference, I’ll have more money and time each fall. Incredibly sad.

What you say is true, but what school out there is going to bring in more than ISU and KU?
Either way ISU will end up in a P5 conference, if not the Big 10 then the Pac 12.
If I’m the B10, I offer membership to TAM and Oklahoma. Come out ahead and screw up the plans for everyone else
This is so ISU. We're finally beating Texas and OU and they bolt. Sounds a lot like what Nebraska did.
Like they would give a **** about the extra 300 miles. It’s 1500 miles from LA to Manhattan and 1800 to Ames. Geography in regards to travel wouldn’t play a single part at all in that decision.
I mean I think you may be going over the top a bit here lol but we’re certainly sitting a more favorable position than we would’ve been 5-10 years back.
You need to look at a map. K-State is like 2 hours farther west than ISU.
Honestly it would be really bad for the Iowa taxpayer - we’d likely never be able to meet the debt obligations. Can’t exactly repo the student performance center.
Take off your cardinal and gold tinted glasses for a second. We are not an elite football program or an elite basketball program. We never were. We have nice facilities but not top end. We definitely do not have brand recognition or a national fanbase. We have passionate fanbase.
If everything you stated was true, then we would already be in the B1G. No question about it.
The PAC 12 may notice how many tickets UNLV sold this year. I don’t think it will hurt our chances.

I think even times have changed since 2014 though...streaming services have become super popular over the last few years and especially during the covid year we had...now I agree KU and ISU don't bring a lot to the table in any sense of tv markets but I don't think that's the end all be all of not considering us. We both are AAU members

You think Iowa St traditionally has more viewers than they do?
