I have been so proud of the players on our FB team this year. I know they worked hard and didn't always get the outcomes they strived for. And everything JP is saying about them right now confirms my thoughts. They are good young men and I am proud that they are a part of my Cyclone family. I see a bright future and no one can damper my outlook. Thank you Football Team and thank you Jam ie Pollard. Come on, fans, keep the faith.

These are the types of threads we need! Watch the press conference. See the emotion. Stay behind JP, the football team, all of our coaches, and all of our student athletes!

Something struck me while watching. We have a couple of different kinds of people on the board.

One is like JP, the other is like Chiz.

The ones like JP realize that while the situation sucks, it is what it is and we charge ahead.

The ones like Chiz whine, cry, *****, and quit.

Which one are you?

I've seen more of Whine, ***** and cry, we'll see if they charge ahead or not soon.

Right. Gene turned out to be a sissy-baby-cry-whiner that left when the going got tough. How many coaches get extension after getting just 5 wins in two years - against horrible teams? Not many at all. Most get the exact opposite.

Jamie is Iowa State right now. I'm certain he'd rather not be the face of ISU - but have the staff be the face. He felt Gene could be that guy and clearly - Gene couldn't. Bye-bye, good luck sucking on your thumb in Auburn.

I loved what Jamie had to say today. The search would be kept tight-lipped. He'd find the best possible guy. It's time to deliver to the fans.

**** you Gene...I hope you ******* rot down there and Saban has his foot up your *** for the next five years!

sorry everyone....it felt good to get that out.

but it's how I feel after seeing Jamie at the press conference.

I guess I'm not nearly as upset as most people on this board. I feel proud that Jamie is such a stand up guy, and hopefully proud that our players will stick with us through the changes. Can't say I'm all that proud about the reaction by most people on the boards over the past few days.

Honestly to me, I'm so glad I made this decision a little over 3 years ago. It's amazing to look back at my past 3 years at ISU and see what we've all been through. All the highs (although few and far between), all the lows, the anger and the pain. All of these things just add to the character of this proud nation of fans. Sure we're not the best school, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find a school with so many devotes, with the hope and dreams of what is to come here, not only in football, but in every sport. I wish JP the best, and as always, I'm proud to be a Cyclone!

If people were not very upset, I'd be worried for the state of our program. It's good people were pissed off. You can sit there on your "I'm happy" perch if ya want - but this has been a very tough last few days for everyone.

We're working through the seven stages of grief quite quickly...

1) Shock and denial came Friday afternoon and evening.

2) Pain and guilt was a quick stage because it didn't take long to get to...

3) ...Anger and bargaining. That was a somewhat lengthy stage beginning somewhere around Friday evening and lasting at least through yesterday--and some of us are still in it.

4) I think many of us just experienced depression, reflection, and loneliness during Jamie's presser.

5) The upward turn begins now. Many of us believe Jamie will go out and find us a good coach.

6) Once we have that coach, we'll begin Reconstruction and working through.

7) By spring practice, we'll have acceptance and hope--accepting the situation and moving on with hope for a great upcoming season!

I agree with this, and I am not saying I am not pissed off, or that people shouldn't be.

There is however a difference between being pissed off and going completely off the deep end. Wishing physical harm to someone along with some of the other asinine **** I have read on here is not necessary, and honestly embarrassing.

Never said I was happy, but I'm not childish enough to wish that he loses all his games or gets hurt in some way, what good does that do our program? Time to look to the future my friends, not wish bad things about an ex-member of our team.

This is my point exactly.

I do not wish the man harm. But it would not hurt my feelings, not even a little bit, if the man won 5 games over the next 2 years at Auburn. He certainly won't get an extension for doing that down there. Instead, he'll be on the way into the frying pan.

Most true cyclone fans are like JP (and appreciate him); we know Chizik screwed us big time, but now its time to move on; get behind JP; get ready for the new coach and get behind him. When we finish with at least six wins next year and go back bowling - we all can laugh about this whole thing.

Also, a true cyclone fan doesn't dwell on our poor past, you look ahead with optimism. We are different from many Hok fans, because many of us have a degree from ISU!!

I wish the best for his family, health and happiness but.....I HOPE HE LOOSES EVERY SINGLE GAME AT AUBURN. I HOPE HE REALIZES THAT HE SUCKS AS A HEAD COACH AND GOES BACK TO BEING A DEF. COORDINATOR AT A DIV.III COLLEGE!!!
