2021 NBA playoffs thread

I wonder what the Sixers could get for Simmons? And also it is kind of crazy how bad the Sixers high picks have been for them except for Embiid. Simmons isn't bad of course but nearly what he was expected to be. But my clue was his year at LSU. Just didn't seem to have the competitiveness needed to be an elite player and that is why they weren't very good. And he hasn't worked on his game at all.

The Sixers could have had Tatum. Tatum and Embiid would be insane. They also passed on taking Booker as many teams did.

The villain for me would have been Embiid and the Sixers. I don't really hate any of the teams left. LAC would be the hardest team for me to cheer for though. A case could be made for ATL, simply because they are the "Hawks" and do have variations of black/yellow in the jersey ensemble from time to time.
I’m surprised how many people don’t like the Clippers. I have no idea how you can’t cheer for any team with Leonard on it. I love that dude.

Whoever hires Hammon is getting a heck of a coach. I’m happy with TJ, but I would have been happy with her coming to Ames, too, if we wanted an NBA coach.
I just hope she goes to a team that has an opportunity for success. Going to Portland might be a good fit if she can get that team to play some better defense.

Give her a shot, the coaching carousel never stops.

Going to hire D'Antoni for his 20th job?

This may be my favorite part about NBA coaching vacancies. Fire a coach for underperforming, but why don't we see if Rudy Tomjanovich still has any interest in coaching?

Same. I have no hate toward the Clippers. I’ve always liked Kawhi. Even as a Bucks fan I had to tip my hat to his amazing performances against us 2 years ago. Plus the Clippers are hated by the Lakers, which makes me like them more.

Saw in interesting one that I kind of like and that is Simmons and Milton for Brogdon and Warren. Brogdon could be a great fit for the Sixers. He can do it all and is very underrated. Also think Maxey has good upside at guard for them. Can be a two way player.

Brogdon would be a great fit, he can play that combo guard type of PG they need. Emiid is great but he doesn't do well with the high screen. They just need to surround him with shooters and slashers. This trade would put them in the convo with the Nets for the favorite in the East next year IMO. Absolutely awful deal for the Pacers though, Simmons and Sabonis wouldn't be a good mix.

Kudos to NBA, you have done the right thing!

The potential rule change will better help the flow of basketball while undercutting free-throw attempts and non-basketball moves.

They still need to look at the taking of a foul when team being fouled is on a fast break. Should be treated just like the clear path foul.

Brogdon is a really good SG, but I think he's actually a pretty poor PG. Problem is he wants to be a PG.
