'22 QB Rocco Becht Commits

Liked the zip on some of the deeper throws. A couple of the other ones aired it out and that lets a Dback recover.
The thing is, he could throw it that way, to an unfamiliar receiver, because there were no DB’s present.

I’m okay with him demonstrating that he can throw a very catchable ball when the situation calls for it.

I have to ask. Anyone else notice the guns on this kid?

It’s almost as if his dad was an NFL tight end or something.
Didn't notice. I was admiring his (hairy) legs!

Just kidding!! ;)

He throws a beautiful ball. Would not surprise me in the least if he wins the QB competition after this next season is over.

There are states still playing high school football? Iowa HS OTAs start again in two weeks.

Arm strength is largely genetic. Purdy hasn't improved his thus far. Still holding out hope, we need that deep threat.
He can throw deep like 30+ but often some of those plays don’t have time to develop. I feel like tarique was really good on those kind of plays that we were missing last year. Definitely need to stretch the defense.

Long developing plays receivers usually have to come back to catch the ball with Purdy. Not always the case, he can throw in rhythm but it doesn't seem to be something we try to use very often.

Cool write-up, crappy top 25.

Seems reasonable in spots, but overall, kinda weird. OU a little low, ISU at 9 is believable, I guess.

I'm not buying Pac-12 with only 1 team, and at #21 (if so, I'd choose Oregon) -- then having 2 Sun Belt both ranked ahead of that, and also 2 from MAC in top 25. I know Pac had a bad season in 2020, but 2020 was ... odd.
