The Fran fade

Bowen seems to be a nice get. I’m not going to make fun of a top-150 recruit because those guys can end up working out really nicely in the right situation. We’ll have to see if Fran uses him correctly because he has had a terrible track record with PG’s.

I will not, however, act like he’s a top 75 player in the nation or say that he’s a 3 star. Yes, he had a lot of offers. A couple were not commitable. Northwestern and Maryland were the schools Iowa pulled him away from.

He is a 4 star by 247 and ESPN and a 3 star by Rivals.

247 goes be their composite. They promote it as the best in the business. He is #153 in the class aka a mid tier 3 star

Do they weigh each ranking equally or emphasize their rankings more?

If they are equal I have a hard time believing the composite is up to date.

Their composite rankings are always up to date lol. He was #154 two weeks ago actually

Then how do you explain Eli King's composite?

He is ranked #118 by 247, #91 by Rivals and is not in ESPN's top 60 which is all the further they go out with 2022 rankings right now. His composite is #73.

Using his 247 and Rivals ranks, he would need to be #10 nationally in ESPN's rank to get his composite up to #73.

Unless they factor in more services than those 3 I don't see how it's possible.

Is this a serious question?
