Iowa will be garbage next year.
On the other hand, it's exactly the kind of thing we can continue to make fun of Iowa fans for.
They likely are still surprised Oregon's guards were able to do that in March.
Nah this guy’s crazy lol. All my Iowa friends and two of my Iowa sources say they expect to get around 10th next year.
10th place in the Big Ten is still competing for an NCAA Tournament appearance. The Big Ten usually gets anywhere from 7-9 teams in. I would expect Iowa’s record to be a few games over .500.
I look forward to revisiting this post in March.
I don't know where ISU will finish.....I'm thinking they will finish with a better record than Iowa. The only way Iowa competes for a bid in the dance is if the Big Turd is way down. I think you are already forgetting the value of Garza. I know getting boat raced in the last game tends to cloud memories....but he didn't get all his awards because people felt sorry for him. Garza made EVERYONE around him better. Next year you will see just how much. And I'm not even speaking of CF or JW being gone. That's three strikes.............Iowa's out.
Edit: I also think if JW joins the other two on the get out of Iowa City train.....you underestimate how much chemistry meant to that group last year having all played together for years.

Agree. He is the difference between competing for a spot in the dance.......and a middle of the pack Big Turd team whose coach thinks every official is a cheating.................!
10th place in the Big 10 this past year went 12-15. Two years ago 10th did well. Three years ago 10th went 14-18.
Fact of the matter is Iowa’s going to have to do very well in the Big 10 tournament to surpass .500 and based on the entire history of Fran at Iowa. It ain’t happening. He can’t win anything with the best player in CBB, he ain’t doing it with a bunch of bums.
How so? Is he one to take over games by creating his own shot and distributing to others that can do similar?
He makes Iowa a better team but he doesn’t move the trajectory out of the near bottom of the Big 10. It’s all moot though. He’s not coming back.

Keegan Murray is viewed by many scouts as a potential first round draft pick. Better tell them not to waste their time because Statefan10 thinks he’s a bum.

From what I saw, I can't imagine Iowa winning many more than 10-12 games last year without Garza. Maybe less.

I’m gonna guess they’re a couple games below .500. I think we’re right at .500 or a couple games above.
I was told by an Iowa fan friend a few years ago that Bobo was also a good NBA prospect--sharp shooter off the bench.
I'll guess Murray has a nice season, doesn't go pro, returns, doesn't get drafted, and then Iowa fans say he should have gone in '22. Just like they did with Reggie Evans because **** doesn't change with that fan base.
