***WBB: 2024 Recruiting Thread***

Huge All-Iowa Attack sponsored tournament in town this weekend - Midwest Girls Classic. Lots of coaches will be in Ames

It is not a viewing period for D1 - so no D1 college coaches can attend in person - the viewing period does not start until early July.
Thank you - I meant for coaches to be in town for the Battle of the Best tourney next month, and then right after that the Summer Showcase.
Lots of teams in town this weekend though.

Emma Dasovich, a 6"1 PF from Minnetonka High School (MN) paid an unofficial visit to ISU. The Gophers are also recruiting her. She's currently on the North Tartan EYBL team, which will host a tournament this weekend with All Iowa Attack and other top teams participating.

Here's her 2020-2021 season highlights.

On mred's list of interest. Saw on Gopher Hole she visited Whalen earlier this month.

Also see she is on the final roster for the 2021 USA Women’s U16 National Team.

One suburb away, will have to check her out this next season.

Didn't know where to put this. Talks about the best noncommits as of the date of the article. Mentions classes for 22, 23, 24. Putting it in here because among the 24's it mentions Prince.

Follow up BoxsterCy's post #32

On Monday ISU hosted one of their top targets Olivia Olson, a 6"0 PG from Benilde-St. Margaret's High School in St. Louis Park, MN.

She's currently ranked #9 in the 2024 ESPN recruiting class. In her freshman year, she averaged 23 Pt, 8 Rb, 3 Ast, 3 Stl per game. She has made the 12-player roster of the U16 USA National Team for the upcoming FIBA Americas U16 Championship in Chile. Her AAU team is Minnesota Fury.

Currently, she has offers from ISU, Iowa, Arizona, Minnesota, K-State, Ohio State, Vanderbilt, etc.

Folks, she is a real deal. Just watch some of her highlights. If she continues improving, she's going to be a program-changing kind of player.

Olivia Olsen has been busy, visiting Cyclones and Gophers and now the Hawkeyes. Building consensus is she is the next big deal out of Minnesota with all of the national attention to go with the local hype.

Nice girl in a regrettable place reminds me (with a little hyperbole) of the inter-galactic bar scene from Star Wars.

Cookie cutter Tweets for ISU and Iowa made me laugh some. I'd swear there's an app that just generates these for the top recruits. ;)

"Had such a fun time visiting [insert @schoo] today. Thank you for showing me around! [insert @school coach]"

Just kidding around, going to be interesting to see her play the next couple of seasons up north here and following her recruiting is likely to be Paige Bueckers or Caitlyn Clark redux as far as local and regional interest.

Got a good feeling about Hawk. Even though, she's been a Tennessee fan since a little kid and got her first offer from Murray State years ago.

However, she's seems to be a Daddy's girl (more receptive to a male coach?). We have had some success at getting Ten. prospects to Iowa State WBB (Vick, Fritz). Our attempts at a family-like atmosphere in the WBB program and the fact she offers up our Joens as a favorite player gives me some, maybe more than warranted, hope for this top 20 player for '24.
