2021 NBA playoffs thread

That was as good of a basketball game as I’ve ever seen. Amazing on both sides. Incredible shots by Lilliard. And Monte Morris is now a playoff star! Hell yeah Monte!

I love seeing Tae putting $$$$M's in his bank.

But,.... Dame Lillard?!?!?! 17/24,.....55 POINTS!!!!!!!

Dame played at Weber State. WTF???
Was a low three star I think coming out of high school. Crazy what he has become. Probably the most clutch player in NBA history. I really want to see him on a championship team some year.

Reggie Miller had some clutch circus shots back in the day. Probably a solid comparison as Miller and Lillard (so far) were only mildly successful in the playoffs.

I think offensively you can say this but people caught up in the shots Dame hit last night must not have watched the entire game. Denver abused him defensively. If he were average on that end, he wouldn't have had to hit so many big shots to extend the game. Miller could defend.

It’s too bad his team can never back his heroics up. Right after he hits all those 3’s they miss two dunks.

Miller's best team was championship worthy most years. Even in this outside shooting era it's still harder to completely control a game as a single player if you aren't attacking the rim consistently.

The shooting is great and part of what makes non-cyclone college basketball tough for me to watch...but it also doesn't erase the fact that the late 80s to early 00s were officiated very differently.

Better comparison is today's game with late 70s and early 80s.

I agree. Lillard just seems like he's gonna fall into the same mold as guys like Miller, Barkley, Ewing, etc. Great players that played on good teams but just couldn't get it done in the playoffs at the end of the day.
