OL recruiting is iowa's saving grace. If they lose that, they fall off a cliff. Not saying they will. KF has a history of putting OLs in the pros that ISU does not have. Until he's gone or on his last leg, ISU will get second choice for in-state OL recruiting. Although, I assume the last leg is coming soon.
That's debatable. They both have gotten off to similar starts, but Campbell hasn't been here long enough to hit his ceiling or find out at what level it's sustainable. Fitzgerald's best conference finishes came in the 13th and 15th years of his tenure when they finally won the division. Just based on my observations about how much different Campbell is than most coaches, if he chooses to stick around, I see Campbell's ceiling as being higher.
While most all ISU fans would be happy with the success NW has had over the years, they're not going to see the occasional 3 to 5 win seasons as long as Campbell is at the helm that NW has experienced.
IMO the tide started to turn with Downing. I think Newell will end up on an NFL roster. That last leg may very well happen right after the NFL Draft. It's taken longer than anyone imagined to get the line to that point, but it's now there.
A different QB from your current roster isn't going to be any better.
Iowa’s last two OL recruiting classes have been outstanding.
Ding ding ding. Iowa had one of the best OL classes in the country in 2021.

don't have an account on a dying forum at all.. but it is hilarious that he thinks that.. it is fun to visit to read the delusions of a racism/sexual assault cover up/money grabbing head coach supporting fan base. it really is sad when some one has more posts about one person here then I have total posts on this site at this point I bet. and funny he calls a site dying that has more off topic posts in a day then they have all week over there.. pretty easy to see why he has an ex-wife at this point when he's more obsessed with a supposed troll over here then anything else he posts about, yet he can't even recognize even that site is calling him out on it.. I might go visit that pathetic excuse they call hickreport sometime next week again just for the lulz..

just laughing at the sad state of your program and fan base over there.. still defending a coach who has had multiple issues because he can go 7-5 for 23 years...
