Iowa Football Recruiting

I’d venture because they do no see Kirk being acceptable for other grown men’s actions towards them and those players probably had an okay to good relationship with Kirk. Kirk could just keep his hands off of everything and claim it wasn’t his fault directly, which is exactly what happened. Also, there were probably just as many players who said Kirk was a problem that defended Kirk.
This is my stance on this too. Kirk is the leader of the program, but he cannot control everything everyone says.

It might explain why I am a little out of the loop on things. I do not pay close attention anymore. I come here for news and because I am currently board. I have more important things to do than Iowa football. Which is crazy because I used to revolve around it 247

To be honest, it really goes back to the local media doing a really poor job covering all of this. Other than getting in line and agreeing with Kirk's aw shucks blind spot comments they were never critical of what took place. Rob Howe was the only one who really dug into it and the fanbase try to bury him because of it.

Rob got some hate for sure, but once he published the DJK story again everybody turned on him. He basically got fired from his job and nobody listens to his stuff anymore because of that.

The whole Kirk didn't know narrative needs to die. The old man is a control freak, you're god damn right he knew what was going on.

The Wadley stuff is perplexing to me in that he blames Iowa for him not making it in the NFL. But he signed a contract with a team and did not make the team and did the same with the XFL....... so what exactly did Kirk do to blackball him?

Same with DJK and the drugs. You run a drug house, you run the risk of the NFL saying no thanks.

He weighed about 175. He wasn’t a burner and nobody will last long in the NFL playing RB at that size

Correct, Kirk's "blind spot" is going to cost the University a lot of money.
Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the lawsuit claiming Kirk cost them money and they are seeking compensation for it? Like if it was not for Iowa football they would be financially stable.

He did what journalists/sports writers should do and he got railroaded for it.

At least he had to gonads to do it. Chad and the rest of the "you say jump, we say how high" Iowa media can suck a fat one. All they want to do is keep their god-for-saking media credentials and will do whatever it takes.

DJK claimed that on senior day Kirk told his parents he was going to have the cops raid his house or something like that lolol

Yep, and Rob printed it word for word. Some journalist, but I guess almost all journalism is dead so not necessarily Rob's fault.
