Iowa Football Recruiting

I already stated that I think it will and had a bigger impact in 2021. I think with visits and recruiting opening back up recruits will be able to see first hand and ask questions first hand to coaches and current players about Iowa. I think Iowa will be ok in all of this and that Kirk will turn this around.

Call me crazy but I don't think you are going to see a lot of AA families give Kirk an opportunity to punch the reset button like his white AD did....

Thanks for making my point. Campbell has obviously shown they can develop those players. Iowa lost the guy that was 90% responsible for their development...
Campbell has a roster that achieved very good results last year as 3-4 year players with experience. Now, He should achieve a legendary season with 4-5 year players and some 3 year guys mixed in. Campbell is a developmental coach and does great with that. After this year will be his true test to see if he is a notch above the rest of the country in terms of sustaining high level success with low ranked classes.

Now you're just being silly.

That's BS. He's done it for four years in a row now. I'd call that sustaining success. Next year they will obviously take a step back, but if 6-6 (or even 5-7) is the valley and winning a NY6 bowl is the peak, I'm fine with that.

Even with what we will lose 7-5 will likely be the floor. CMC will crush the transfer portal if necessary.

You mean like going from 3-9 in year one to 8-5 in year two and sustaining winning seasons since? It's not realistic for programs like Iowa State to maintain top 10 status.

I’m not sure Kirk is going to be here long enough to turn it around. I think he’s gone in a couple years.

Yes I do, but I could very well be wrong.

We can only assume by your post you are a person that holds your farts in. They travel up your spine to your brain and that is where all your crappy thoughts come from.

You probably are also one that would take a knife to a gun fight.

If we go 6-6 or better next year, we’re in an extremely good place as a program.

That's what I used to think too but I think he will stay long enough to hopefully build enough good will for his sh!tty kid.
Ehhh idk if that’s going to be able to happen considering Brian’s going to be on trial in 2023.. Who knows though. If Brian ends up getting the HC job, I would jump for joy.

Oh I don't think it will happen but Kirk is stubborn enough to hold on for a few more years and try.

That is exactly what Kirk has done for Iowa

You guys are doubling down on next year. some posters here are claiming ISU is a top 10 program now. Which means they are to be top 10 year in and year out. If not, you pretty much look like Iowa. Some really good years with a lot of mediocre mixed in.
Maybe. But maybe not. As a Hok fan you should be concerned, especially since the Moon Family coach is getting up there in years. The wheels are due to come off the hok football program as sure as they fell off the pinewood derby car.
