Iowa Football Recruiting

Just like a stupid hok troll - hold out Meeshigan as an example of talent to aspire to. One of if not thee most underperforming team in the P5 over the last few years.

But I suppose hok fan would trade in their mediocre program for meeshigan mediocre if they wouldn't have to play tOSU more ofen.
Right! Throws shade about 'down Big XII' because 'tExAS iS WeAk' - proceeds to trot out the Wolverkittens as example of B1G prowess... I'm pretty sure he's shoulder deep in the sand, dipping rapidly towards his elbows.

Brodie seems like the person who has constantly said there’s no way Matt Campbell stays at Iowa State so he can’t fathom why recruits may choose Iowa State over a brand name school.

It should also be pointed out that our backup running back last year put up very similar stats as Michigan’s starter. Same amount of attempts.

This is @Brodie0 in a nutshell
Why are you so triggered that I went to a better school than you? It’s really not that big of a deal.
getting owned left and right so he/she resorts to calling people “triggered”.

Yes he struck gold with some classes like that. So has Kirk, but Kirk has also flattened out with those classes too. So it is not unreasonable to assume that could happen to MC

Purdy, has three back ups that would start over Petras. I have no reason to worry about our recruiting. Iowa fans??? Please stay in complete denial. It's going to make this ride so much sweeter.

He's CP84 on other sites if that helps connect the dots

I genuinely cannot believe you are getting this upset because I said that a 5* and two other highly recruited, top 400 RB’s are more talented than Iowa State’s group. Literally every recruiting service would agree with my statement. Apparently so would most college coaches. If you want to pretend that makes me a stupid idiot HOK troll, have at it. You’re only showcasing your lack of objectivity and delusions.

So ******* what.

Who gives a ******* flip about how many stars a recruit has as the final measure of talent. You will never admit it but CMC can pick and align talent as good as any coach in America. Harbaugh is about the worst at it. Ferentz is average.

The truth his, by any measure, ISU recruiting is on the rise -whether you measure it by stars, getting the talent needed that cycle, performance on the field - name the measure - but stop cherry picking individual cases that suit your sorry attempt at staying relevant.

Conversely, Iowa's recruiting is slowly starting to fade - but I am sure you will trot out some example of 1 kid that had some interest from a blue blood to counter that. The truth is - Iowa is getting supposedly better classes of recruits and will - wait for it - end up 2nd in the B1G west and and in a mediocre bowl - again.

So you tell me who the delusional, denying troll on the rivals fan site. I won't wait long, I know your answer.

But hey, its' spring, we might actually have a normal summer ahead of us - so hang around, make yourself feel a little better trying to hang onto whatever 'glory' hok football has had and wait for reality to smite you head this fall.

I don’t go on other sites usually. Lol

Fact of the matter is the RB position is probably CMC’s best position he recruits / develops. Out of his last 3 starting RB’s (Hunt, Montgomery and Hall) 2 are starting NFL RB’s and the third was a unanimous 1st team All American and got 6th in the Heisman race.

Yeah it's hard to question Campbell's RB recruiting. Brodie is just trolling at this point

He is like most of the other hoks. They like to use ambiguous measures, that is why they are so invested in recruiting rankings. If they look hard enough, they can find some angle in recruiting numbers that makes them feel elite. It is hard to prove or disprove those rankings but hok likes that because they only need to prove it to themselves.

Meanwhile, CMCs is leading the program to focus on championships. I think hok fan has forgotten what the chase for those is like. KF has conditioned them to be happy with 2nd place in the B1G West.

Iowa fans have beat the two and three star development drum for almost 20 years but now that CMC is doing it just as good if not better than Kirk it's no longer possible.

Top 10 team less than 10 minutes away from home... yea, it’s not gonna quick decision.

If Iowa would have offered several months ago, he would probably already be committed. I don’t think that is the case anymore. It sounds like he really likes Minnesota, so Iowa and Iowa State are going to have some ground to make up when (or if) they offer.
