Iowa Football Recruiting

Will we take a step back after this year? Likely, but us taking a step back will be similar to years like 2017 in which we were still highly competitive. I

The days are over of us winning 2-3 games a year. As long as Campbell is the head coach, our floor is bowl eligibility.
That is what I am saying. Is that good? you guys are fine with 7-5 type years.

Dekkers is very good. We saw a small sample last year, but he throws a beautiful ball.
It will be fun to monitor how he does. He played 1A 2A HS ball. Big 12 is going to be much different for him as a starter. I hope he does good. Not a lot of home grown Iowa kids excel at QB. I think there have been like a handful only.

Wont be able to find it but I do know there are a lot of guys high on the Clones this year.
There was a link provided yesterday from CBS saying the exact opposite actually. LaPorta was higher than any Cyclone and only Hall and Eisworth were in the top 100

I totally agree with your point. I also think that's why its silly for people to think of 8-5 type seasons as a failure.

I would probably limit the recruiting smack talk when Iowa State put together one of the worst recruiting classes in all of P5 last year. You do you, though.

Forgive us but we love rubbing it in the rest of the programs face that we can take a crappy recruiting class and still end up in the Top 10 and in CFP talk. Gotta laugh at all the time and attention the 'blue bloods', national powers, conference title contenders and Iowa place in recruiting. CMC places his attention on winning. But you do you.
