To me, it's all about fit and need. I have no problem believing that Riley has a higher upside as an NFL prospect. But, one thing about this ISU staff...when they find something that works, they go right back to trying to get similar players. See Lazard and Butler and trying to get tall WRs on the outside. In a similar vein, they figured out that while ISU is not going to get many game breaking speed demon WRs, they can run a 3 TE set and put a lot of pressure on defenses in the running game while still being multiple enough to flex guys out and throw to them. In that sense, it would not surprise me at all if Burkle was their top priority (after Raridon of course), because he's a Soehner clone. They already have a few of the receiving threat type guys on the roster.
