Cy-Hawk Game This Year: Revenge or Just Shutting Up Their Idiot Fans?

For me ..the worst part of this series is their idiot loud mouth fans and their Hawkster adoring media. I think I can now see why we didn't play Iowa for decades. I vote let's beat Iowa this Fall so as to hear the sweet sound of silence from Hawkster fanbase and their media shills.

So would a 10-2 type year not be a failure? They are currently a top team ranking wise, experience wise, and have a favorable schedule to get them back to the big 12 title game. No reason to be scared of that expectation. It is where ISU is at right now.
10-2 would not be failure, 9-3 would be disappointing.

Cyclone fans that sell their tickets to hawk fans just for this game are not even fans in my book. If anyone around us sells theirs to hawk fans and they come to the next home game, they will hear about if from me!! Damn sellout fans is what they are!!

Weve sold ours before a few times and clarified we were only selling to ISU fans. Several Halk fans asked but that just wasnt gonna happen.

I hope that we finally come out of the gates strong to start the season as if we want to be in the CFP picture we can't slip up and lose a non-conference game. There is even a scenario out there were we could possibly miss out by losing 1 game if we were to go undefeated and then lose to OU in the Big 12 title game because it would be tough to have 2 of the 4 teams be from the Big 12 probably. I'm actually more worried about the UNI game than I am Iowa as we always seem to play bad on Week 1. Two years ago took us 3 OT to beat UNI, we all know what happened last year, 3 years ago had the SDSU game rained out then could not get anything going against Iowa in what was essentially week 1 for us.

This season scares the crap out of me with all the hype and expectations we have coming in. It is going to be a sh-show here if we happen to drop a game early or against someone we should beat.

Hopefully UNI is still a little sore from the spring season.

Hopefully Campbell and the players (Brock) remember the scare from a couple years ago and make a point to take care of business.

I'm guessing the UNI game will be within a TD at halftime and then we pull away after shaking off the rust.

I never hated the CyHawk game until we got season tickets. Since we are in non donor seats, a lot of people near us sell that game to Hawk fans to pay for their season tickets. Just really unpleasant. The vomiting in our row, spitting and throwing stuff over stadium wall, just really gross. I am sure it is the high intoxication level but it just makes it hard to watch the game. One year the ones by us left in first quarter when the woman vomited and the guys wound up carrying her out.
After one of the weather delays last time, CSC had to come get one that got sick coming back up the stairs and fell

What if you do happen to lose to Iowa (just a scenario because I see that as a for sure win) and then lose at OU and lose to OU in the Big 12 title game..... that would be 10-3. Big 12 is not as strong at the top this year either. ISU and OK.....then who?

-3.5 sounds right vs. the claimed best team in Iowa St. history. It has got to be frustrating that ISU has had some of their best years lately with a good coach and still cannot beat Iowa. Based upon this board Iowa is one step above Grand View.
No, Iowa will be solid this year. I haven't looked at their schedule but I would expect at least a par for the course 8-4 type of year for them. Iowa State does have a shot at greatness this year, should beat Iowa, and for the sake of conversation I'll just say they should have beaten Iowa had they played in 2020, but with their early season struggles and self-destructive tendencies v.s. Iowa specifically, hard to say what might have happened.

A beat down would be nice and let's face it, we'll take a win of any sorts at this point, but I suspect if we pull it out, it will be a nail biter. Just how the two coaches play. Close games are the norm.

Would expect Texas and Okie State to be in the mix with us, behind OU. West Virginia if I had to pick a dark horse.
