Old Mediocre Has-Been Desperate To Appear Relevant; aka JBo To Return

How will hilton respond to the shoes at midcourt stunt when he has to weasel his way back into ames this fall?

It would be really funny if the student section all brought worn out old sneakers and threw them on the court when he is announced in the beginning. It would be worth the technical to see hundreds of shoes flying out onto the court.

Twins and Jordan are both good at trolling. The problem is that they’re now trolling the same fan base. JBo coming back is the biggest troll of all time. I honestly haven’t seen a fan base as upset about a player returning in my entire life lol.
If either one of them can make me laugh it’s worth it.

Not to mention a player with records under his belt already.

To me:

+you get better 3 point shooting
+veteran leadership
-no defense
-can't create his own shot
-eating minutes up backups or new recruits could be using to get better

Pretty spot on. I would add as a + that he has value in late game situations because hes a great FT shooter and has borderline PG skillz

A lot of Bills fans were upset when OJ came back in 96, but he did run for 900+

OJ was born in 1947.

He was acquitted by a jury of his peers in 1995.

He wasn’t playing a season at 49 years of age.

Hard to imagine they overlooked OJ returning after a nearly 18 year hiatus to have one year of mediocre production, in which he apparently doubled his production from 79.

I would like to watch, for morbid curiosity's sake, what a 50 year old running back getting a bulk of the touches in the NFL would look like. I suppose I just have to wait until Frank Gore gets there.

OJ Mcduffie, damn autocorrect
A WR who played his entire career with the Dolphins. I'm sure that there is an example of a player who wasn't wanted back who was moderately productive but I'm not sure it was someone named OJ.

He did go for 900+ that year

If Frank Gore plays this fall it will be during his age 38 season, which is ancient by NFL standards for any position but especially for a running back. OJ at 50? Pretty hilarious we “forgot” OJ played after the trial, eh?

Gore is not even on a roster right now, and he’s played each of the last three years on league-minimum one-year deals for some rather desperate teams. I bet somebody still picks him up once more, but his yards per attempt last year was pretty bad. He’s close to the end of the line or might just be forced into retirement sometime this summer.

Heck a career, though. He came into the league the same year as did Alex Smith in San Francisco.
