Old Mediocre Has-Been Desperate To Appear Relevant; aka JBo To Return

I saw somewhere that he is only like 14 games from the NCAA record for most games played. He will shatter that record next year*.

*Unprecedented 6 years of eligibility
Yep, record is 157 (David Lightly at Ohio St.) and JoBo has 143. Lightly also received medical year but only played in 7 games before injured. JoBo played in 10 games his medical year. He should put that out of reach if Iowa plays normal schedule (30 games minimum reg season + post season).

Maybe whatever pizza company that sponsors free pizza night to get people to come to games will sponsor him.

Jorbo’s Cheese Pizza Night brought to you by Papa John’s. First 5,000 fans get a pizza with no toppings “We tried to throw them on but we missed”
Made with the finest aged cheeses and a brilliantly coiffed crust. "There is no defense against the flavor!"

PG Toussaint, Ulis, JBo, Connor
SG Perkins, JBo, Connor, Sandfort
SF Patrick, Connor, Kris Murray, Keenan Murray, Sandfort
PF Keegan Murray, Connor, Rebraca, Kris Murray, Patrick
C Rebraca, Mulvey, Ogundele

That is in no particular order. Unknown yes, but not lacking a ton of talent either. I think that team can push for a tournament Bubble spot. Possibly a 1st 4 type team. But they are likely NIT bound unless someone surprises.

I agree that is a team with some talent, but it's not enough and it's in the least helpful places.

It's a guards game. Your guards need to be able to score and/or defend. Connor and JorBo can't do either very well on their own and Perkins, Ulis, and JT won't have a chance to make a bigger impact because Fran won't play them significantly more than last year. I'd bet the latter 3 average about 10 mpg each, unless JorBo gets injured or shuts it down.

Last year you had a generational talent and borderline NBA guy at center and forward to cover up that weakness at guard. Keegan, PMac, and Rebraca(?) appear to be good players, but I don't see them as near special enough to create and draw defenders and let those two dingleberries get anything done on the perimeter. They are gonna get exposed out there.

Fran's weakness since he has been at Iowa has been guards (especially at point) and it has killed his teams. Last year or two he got away with it because of Garza and Weiskamp, but this year it will go back to form.

As far as record, idk. Total wag without looking at schedule: 6-8 conference wins, teetering on .500 overall, NIT bubble.

That is literally the definition of lacking a ton of talent

If you compare Tyrese Haliburton and JorDouche, and ISU MBB and hok MBB you have a very equivalent comparison.

And here was are entering page 30 and it is still about FT line shoes and his twitter. Iowa fans call it like it is. JBo is in ISU heads.
I know it’s a given that you’re an idiot based on your allegiance but WTF does this even mean? In English.

This got me thinking, who is the best PG fran has had at iowa? Serious question. Gessel? In that same time isu has had Kane, morris, haliburton just to name a few

So with his cockiness and how he is all ready to have the crowd give him a rough time in Hilton I think what he deserves is when they announce him the student section instead of booing him the all laugh and point and embarrass the ass hat. Could you imagine how bad that would be ...? Booing fans fuel you in a way but if they are just laughing at you it takes it to a whole different level.
