Old Mediocre Has-Been Desperate To Appear Relevant; aka JBo To Return

Yeah I think he had more negative reactions from Iowa fans than anything..
At this point my reaction is - no reaction. Kid can shoot. If (big if) Fran uses him as a spot up shooter that gets 10-12 minutes a game and more only when he's hot then so be it. Do I think that's what will happen? No. He's not really taking a scholarship from anybody at this point at least but that's a whole other topic.

I wasn't really wanting him back. He seems like a douche. But IF he sticks at the 2, I do think his shooting will help us. Plus, it will be kind of funny if he ends being a part of 5 wins over ISU, considering how much you guys hate him.

I can't believe this gizmo is coming back for a super-duper-senior year.

I guess he's going for all-universe Memz Team.

I really hope ISU beats this tool this coming season. I have had enough of their bench players having career days against us but completely not showing up in postseason elimination games.

ISU is not that likely to be very good next year, so one of the few discreet accomplishments TJ can have in his first year would be beating Iowa for the first time since late 2017. I hope Hunter and Kalscheur will be all over JoBo defensively and the crowd just it an awful experience for the poor Hawkeyes to the point they whine about it.

Please make that ******* leaving his shoes on the court blow up in his face.

I think he's an ass too but I do appreciate how much he gets under the skin of everybody. Exactly what he's after.

and a 1st team AA big game choker
I'm definitely not a fan of his game but I never really thought of him as a choker. He was put in a spot where he was never going to succeed against athletic guards. He's still not a guy you'd want to take a game winner against you at the end of the game.

Well he's had the benefit of playing against some really bad ISU teams (thanks Steve). And going by his stat lines against us, he is not the reason for Iowa winning those games.
2020: 3 points on 1-7 shooting
2019: 12 points on 2-12 shooting
2018: 7 points on 2-7 shooting

Hahaha so you are saying he should be playing in the old mans league and isn't cut out to play college bb.

I did the math, you can't get 5-26 just anywhere.

Yeah but the stats can't account for his floor presence
He's a nice 3 point shooter, but he's also had the benefit of playing with an all-time great player for Iowa in Garza, along with CJ and Wieskamp. At best, he's always been the 3rd or 4th option. With those guys gone, he's not going to have the open shots that he's used to having. Pair that with his career FG% being under 40%, those would be my concerns if I was an Iowa fan. Maybe they have a couple surprise players that can step up, we'll see.
