Iowa Football Recruiting

Thought it’d happen eventually. Still think Pierschbacher would’ve been a better NFL prospect had he been at Iowa. Some of that might be because of salt in the wound but oh well.

I think that ALL of that is because of salt in the wound. I mean, this is freaking Alabama we're talking about. All the scouts watch them play. And they play against the best college DLs in the country on a weekly basis. I count 10 OLs from there on NFL rosters and another 3 are projected in the top 3 rounds this week. If you are a multi-year starter on the OL there, you are going to be seen. If you don't make the NFL after that, it's a you problem. Iowa does not have the market cornered on OL development despite what hawkeye fans think.

Just my pet peeve but it is AN Iowa kid not AND Iowa kid. Everyone does that wrong. Probably autocorrect but proofread before hitting send.

Some of these NFL guys never learn. They assume if an OL is from Bama or Georgia they're automatically better. Then they take Wills Jr. and Thomas over Wirfs and... duh... missed on a future multi-year All-Pro.

I think Saban does a good job of putting guys into the NFL lol. Probably more salt on the wound but I feel ya.

It has been one season. Probably a little early to say who will have the best career.
