For a long time I've thought that sending those letters to the other Big 12 schools after the locker room theft was the most pathetic thing their athletic department has done, but it appears we have a new contender.

They’re just referring to when Youngstown State got busted for tampering. Just petty beyond the pale. Like they’ve got a bunch of middle graders running their social media.
Youngstown State is in Ohio. Ohio is the home of Ohio State FB. In 2022, tOSU is scheduled to play Notre Dame. Mad Fran was a former assistant MBB coach for the Fighting Irish. Hope that clears things up. (If I went further, I'm sure I could also make a connection to Kevin Bacon).
