Check the post I quoted earlier in the thread.Interesting...who?
CJ reached out to Kentucky during the season and initiated itThe likelihood that Cal or Kentucky were the ones who initiated the conversation with CJ is low. I’d bet there’s a very good chance CJ did it or CJ told someone close to him to reach out.
This happens all the time. Way more than people know. And it doesn’t matter bc if a player doesn’t want to be at a school, they’re going to leave. Kentucky was not the reason why CJ left.
Story time.. Trey Dickerson (Freshman PG for Iowa in 2014) wanted to transfer to Iowa State and texted a few ISU players and they essentially said “nah” we’re good.
Yeah, Cal ABSOLUTELY tampers, but I doubt he did with CJ.I don't buy it that Cal tampered with a dime a dozen guy.
It depends on what you consider tampering. Conversations were had before he went into the portal but it was all initiated by CJ's familyI don't buy it that Cal tampered with a dime a dozen guy.
Makes sense.CJ reached out to Kentucky during the season and initiated it
I can buy contact through an intermediary, if only because I think that sort of thing happens all of the time with all kinds of players. But the people suggesting that Kentucky paid CJ are on crack.I don't buy it that Cal tampered with a dime a dozen guy.

Iowa squawking about it is more revealing about just how flat footed Frederick's transfer caught them, and how much his departure is going to hurt. The whining about tampering is a lash out move, 100%.
How about wanting what's best for the student athlete? They seemed to do that for Nunge who left for the exact same reason as FredrickSpurned teams yowling about tampering is simply a coping mechanism. How about accepting that the player just wasn't that into your program? That's a hard fact for teams and their fans to accept. No one wants to think that their program isn't the best (well, Iowa fans should know that).
If he hasn’t shown he can be a good wing, why is projected to go 1st round?

I think we do the same thing, and I think it’s normal. It’s okay to see these things that give us a reason to be excited to cheer on our team. I think the problem with it is that it creates a thin line between cheering for them and placing overinflated or unrealistic expectations on their shoulders.Does anyone else think hyping up a meaningless mock draft for the next year sums up Hawkeye basketball perfectly?
