The Fran fade

I went over and read up on the CJ Frederick Transfer on the rivals Hawk Site. The most beautiful thing ever is that thread was right next to our girl transferring to Iowa thread. The exact same people are calling Frederick a trader and all kinds of names, yet complimenting our women's basketball transfer for getting out of a bad situation. It's almost comical that the threads were right next to each other.

I guess it would matter, but Iowa is going to be bad anyway. That would take them from bad to worse for sure.

I wonder when the last time a team put so much pressure on a returning guy that averaged 7 and 5 while garnering zero defensive attention.

Again, very good player in the right role. If Iowa fans want to go into the way-back machine it kind of reminds me of a guy they had when I was a kid - James Winters. He was a good complimentary player when they had Earl and those other guys. They lost almost everyone from the previous year except Winters, so they basically had to build around him. He put up some good stats I think, but the team sucked.

Murray is going to put up decent numbers just based on getting a ton of minutes and usage. But I just don't think he's the guy you can build around.
It will be interesting to see how Murray does when he is the 1st or 2nd guy defenses key on instead of the 3rd or 4th.

PM is not a 12/7 guy in the BIG.. He is so limited offensively and has little touch around the rim not to mention his 3pt shooting isnt good. No way he avg 7 reb a game.
I said could if he's doubling his minutes and adds weight.
I know that's a lot of "could" but I don't think its too far out of the realm.

1. I don’t know what Fran is wearing but he looks like one of the Golden Girls.

2. 22 looks like he is a little more muscular in the arms and shoulders than he used to be. I saw a picture of him hacking a guy after another Duck dunk, and he did seem to at least have some muscle. I am sure it isn’t easy for him after his cancer.

Those dorks were at least a team, not having to compete with crappy McCafes for minutes and just having to keep an eye on McCabe with their girlfriends. Not sure if they were pushed to play injured back then
More than a few of those guys probably had a hard time getting girlfriends tbh

From shaming AA players who felt discriminated against, to defamation of the late, great Roy Marble and now wishing car accidents on players who transfer, has any fanbase made themselves look worse than Iowa the last 10 months? You have to be a die hard, blind homer hawk fan to continue to be apart of this right? I mean every fan base has embarrassing fans but the hatred being spewed by these people is unlike anything I've ever seen. The nicest way I can say it is that they are like a brainwashed cult. They stand ready to pounce on anyone who dares not tow the line.

An Iowa State correlation would be the '01-'02 team with just Tyray Pearson after Tinsley, Horton, Rancik, Shirley etc. all left. Put up great numbers but was not a guy who could put the team on his back. Hell, Rasir Bolton fits the mold as well.

I could see usage pushing P Mac to be a 10/6 or even 12/7 type of guy. Ain't gonna be pretty though.

PMac at least seems like a D1 player. Connor starting for 5/6 years on a Big Ten team is pure insanity. I don't know that I'd recruit him if I were a D2 or Juco coach, I'd probably roll the dice on anybody I thought could shoot the ball well.

We'll see about the 8th grader but we know he'll be on the team.

If he wanted to play basketball he should have gone to Upper Iowa with Mr. Basketball.

I thought he was supposed to be better at baseball but have no idea, I don’t follow Hawk baseball at all

With the latest round of departures, Fran may actually be forced to start a black kid. That won't go over well at Gary and Kirk's next Klan meeting.

Probably should start 4, but we are due for both McCafes.

I think fat Garza should beat out Mulva

I have a coworker who refs AAU basketball games. She threw Margaret out of a tournament game once, which is like permanent OG status for me! LOL. Seriously though, she said Margaret has a way worse temper than Fran if you can imagine that! So yeah, bet your analysis is correct!

Living next to Fran's house must be a lot like living next to my former backyard neighbors. Husband screaming. Wife screaming. Kids screaming. All day long.
