Iowa Football Recruiting

Iowa has had one good WR in the last 20 years and that's McNutt. Iowa State has had 2 or 3 better than him just under Campbell
How is this dumb @Expert? Lazard and Butler were better than McNutt and you could make an argument for Hutchinson. I mean even someone like Deshaunte Jones would go down as one of the best Kirk had coached if he went to Iowa

How did a post about ISU having 2-3 WR's better than McNutt lead to DJK being talked about in your next post?

How did they waste ISM and Smith? They were pretty good. I feel Smith should have came back for one more year.

I thought that they were talented enough to do more. Especially when you had an NFL draftee at QB in Stanley. If I were an iowa fan, I'd be very annoyed with how conservative and conventional that offense is. Seems like their whole offense is stretch zone and play action bootleg. The whole game plan is to keep it close, wait for the other team to make a mistake and win with a FG late. Not that it isn't effective, but man...

Agree about the conservative nature of the offense and it can be irritating a lot, but 5 of our 8 games last year were decided by 2 TDs or more, and only 1 game was within the margin of a FG.
