The Fran fade

Texas Tech (before I know their fanbase was psychotic) and Baylor were the two schools I was fine seeing win in the tourney

I'm conflicted. Love the Baylor players and I'm a huge Scott Drew fan. Great for those guys and great for the Big12.

However absolutely hate the worst most undeserving fanbase got that title.

I think you nailed it.
Used to make fun of his timeouts, zone, and honestly assumed he cheated.
Baylor is a VERY solid program now and tough to prepare for.

Especially the bolded. He was pulling some super highly touted recruits to a school that at the time had an utterly abysmal track record in Men's BB. Those teams that had Quincy Acy, Perry Jones III, Cory Jefferson etc all seemed like there was no way he'd be able to recruit them to Baylor without making a deal with the devil. Seems like he started to recruit differently 5 years ago or so, and started finding really good 4 year players.

Watching that game last night gave me PTSD from the Oregon game. Baylor just out athleted Gonzaga. Outside of Suggs, Gonzaga had no one that could match up with Baylor's guards and athleticism.
I could totally see Timme and Kispert in a Hawk uniform, leading them to another 2nd round exit.

Whar Iowa and the McCaf bros?

Just calling it now: UCLA will become a victim of their own success. I've seen it play out so many times with that program. They show just enough for people to think they're back, just in time for the rug to get pulled out.
