The Fran fade

Was there a question? I don't understand the bump. If you want me to say Jones is a better basketball player than Patrick it isn't going to happen.
Patrick is a 21 year old who has proven he can't play at the P5 level

Jones is a 19 year old we assume can't play at the P5 level

Not sure we can say one is better than the other

@Statefan10 can probably fill you in.

Basically, Otz is playing chess by landing Jones to help ISU's chances with the Garcia kid from Marquette if he transfers and for prospects that play for Jones' old AAU team.
That's a very good strategy IMO. Minnesota is stacked with talent

I don't see it paying off but who knows. Otz probably knows he has a really long leash since he was hired by one of his best friends without much, if any, semblance of a search so he can afford to play the long game in the roster rebuild.
As you’ve mentioned plenty of times, we went 2-22 last year. Of course Otz is going to get time to rebuild lol.

Iowa's 2021 lineup looks horrible right now

PG: Joe T
SG: Fredrick
G: C McCaffrey
F: Murray
C: Ogundele

Bench: P McCaffrey and Perkins

That roster could be on the 2020/21 ISU level... Brutal
I’d be so shocked if Patrick doesn’t start. I don’t think Joe T starts either.. I think if CJ comes back:

1. CMac
2. CJ
3. Patrick
4. Keegan
5. Big Josh or Grad Transfer

The phenomenon of Iowa players being old (Wieskamp), or in many cases way older than their grade (Murray x2, McCaffery x2, Ogundele, Fredrick, Nunge, Bohannon), is wild

Better than limited he gets to the basket with open looks pretty regularly. He's very bouncy too can get up quick. His problem was lack of touch and strength when he got into the lane
Patrick is a far superior overall basketball player than his older brother.
