How many 1st round draft picks, how many Mackey Winners, how many NFL starters, how many on NFL rosters, etc. Everything points to Iowa>ISU when it comes to TE development.
Yeah and he was supposed to be good last year and wasn't. What's your point?
Pre racism stuff Iowa was good with TEs yes but yeah now it's all Iowa State
What happens when Kolar and Allen leave after this year? Your cupboard looks pretty bare.
Easton Dean (who the Moon Family Head Football Coach offered after he already committed to Iowa State) is going to be very good
Besides him? I mean, Iowa has Luke Lachey, Elijah Yelverton, and Josiah Miamen in the room and they’re all studs.
They are? Iowa's best TE just graduated and didn't get a combine invite and those guys couldn't see the field behind him
They’re better prospects than Dean, and 2 of them are literally Freshman, who didn’t have an offseason or normal fall camp.
Bold statement, but not that impressive. ISU’s best TE ever is Kolar, and he doesn’t even crack top 5 at Iowa, and would barely be in the top 10.
To say a freshman is going to be better than a two time All American isn't impressive?
ISU offered Lachey and Yelverton, would’ve killed to have those guys. They will be very good.
It’s cool and all, but it’s not as impressive as saying he’d be better than Dallas Clark, Noah Fant, TJ Hockenson, Marv Cook, Etc.
“Would have killed” lol we are going to have back to back years of having a top-5 TE room in the nation..
And these guys at Iowa are the future of the position. Both of them are high rated and had better offers out of HS. I think Dean is going to be a pretty darn good TE when he’s all done in Ames, but I don’t think he’ll be remembered as a better player than Yelverton and Lachey.
At this point we just have to wait and see as none have played significant snaps yet. Lol
Kolar will be a 3 time All American
Hockenson was a 1 time All American
Fant was a 1 time All American
I think Cook and Clark were only 1 time All Americans too
