The Fran fade

I truly think Iowa was who we thought they were. They were good, not great. They had 3 starters to carry the team. No first place finishes (reg season, B1G tourney). They had flaws and made it to the round of 32. By that explanation, they met expectations.

The media, fans, and "Experts" hyped them to a level that was not attainable. Their record against better teams proves this.

Yep... real solid defender. Derp!

Exactly my feelings too. Iowa was a good team the year before and didn't get a chance in the tournament. This year they started off in the preseason top 5, being propped up by the best player in college bball. They never really did much to improve from that or really drop from that. If they would have started at #15, they probably would have ended at #15.

They met my season expectations except for the round of 32 exit. I was thinking top half Big 10 finish, win a game or two in the BTT and then Sweet 16.
